Ideas for Banding by the Numbers deck

My son is wanting a big banding chain (set 1 FooF is key to him). In explaining inititive, I am stressing battle by the numbers.

Is there any advice for him/me in building this deck? He wants to duplicate a Huge Banding deck (only 5 enhancements total and they all helped the banding) that I used 4 years ago. I have told him that it would be outdated by now and I need advice making this deck work for him.

It would be his first competitive deck.

The most popular ones I have seen use Captain of the Host and Abraham's Servant to Ur to make it FBTN except banding.  Use Captain of the Host, Jacob (the one who can band to silver OR play a Genesis Enhancement), Maharai (warriors) who can band to any blue, Claudia who can band to any male NT, Simeon who is NT and can band to any prophet (both Jacob and COTH are Prophets).  Other good choices are Ethiopian Treasurer who Claudia can band to and then play an enhancement, and Tribal Elder is always a good choice too.  Of course try to have some way to deal with the Lost Souls that hurt this kind of deck, Holy of Holies, and Trap of the Devil.

This is nothing profound, but just something that I've seen used very effectively, usually as a speed deck with very little defense.

the only problem I have is that my son is 7 and doesn't understand all the combo's needed. and after my performance over the last 4 months, I am not the one to teach him.

I just don't want the deck to be too complex for him. I am not very familiar with the new cards, so, I don't know how hard it will be to pull this deck off.

The deck that Gabe pointed you to doesn't have any complicated combo's.  It just has a bunch of GCs that band together and make the battle FBN (except for banding or WC).
