Cactus Game Design Message Boards

Random idea I had. I'm terrible at searching the REG, so for the most part the cards are just the ones listed under the headings "Luke Heroes," "John Heroes," and "Assyrian Evil Characters" and then supplemented by cards I have in real life, so any replacement/upgrade suggestions would be most appreciated. I'm not entirely sure I'm doing the Assyrian defense correctly (I've never done one before). Anyways, here it is.

I would dump Best Friends and Power of the Cross.  Peter isn't going to be playing anything except negates because of his big numbers and Lazarus can just use the gold convert cards, which you have more than enough. 

This definitely needs Three Nails and Furnace of God's Wrath in order to be able to get past demons.  House in Bethany won't be enough.  I think I'd take out A New Creation for Furnace and then Pergamum for Three Nails since you aren't doing any Site locking really.

Women as Snares will also be a big help versus demons.  I'd dump Spoilers for her.  Then dump plunderers in favor of Disobedience or Stocks.

A bit of strategy advice: Use Woman at the Well to pull out Seven Sons of Sceva so you can get rid of it.  Preferably by discard so they can't use it to discard your Three Nails as a Hero.

Updated, and I have a question. Should I take out Assyria to put in Raider's Camp? I kinda want to add RC (what with all the capturing I'll hopefully be doing) but can't decide what to take out other than the site (though it will make Sargon less useful).

Hmm, that's a toughy.  I'd probably do it.

Okay, edited again. Gives me more fodder for Zaccheus, too.

What about Assyria's Tribute (if you have it)?  Makes a couple battles basically FBTN with your big Assyrians.

You have Stocks, Slave Trade, and Asnappar. Raider's Camp and Dodo the Ahoite would be worthwhile additions.

Ah, I meant The Tartan, not Asnappar.

What about assyrian spoilers? I think he is a must in any assyrian deck. He can get rid of a face down atrifact if another assyrian is in play

I had Spoilers in there, but it was suggested I remove him to put Women as Snares in.
