Cactus Game Design Message Boards

So, I wanted to find a way to implement the two least used (good sized) themes: Warriors and Syrians. So I tried out this very strange strategy, which is basically that of heroless, but with heroes. It doesn't look too bad, but it needs something. However, obviously it won't win a nationals, no matter how much it's re-tooled. Anyway, take a look:

I would add in I am Patience to help get rid of their d a little bit better because you have Spy.

I've said this on so many threads, so forgive me for saying it again, but am I the only person that is a jerk and plays warrior's spear with Spy?

I'm not sure that works.

A recent thread concluded that it did, but I still don't think it's worth it to put Warrior's Spear in. It doesn't help my strategy much, and it's a waste of a battle IMO.

So converted sword on ahimaaz works as well then? Awesome!

Bryon and Tim both said it did, I figured that counted for the most part.

Also, isn't ANY battle with spy wasted then? If you're withdrawing anyway, why not discard a card?

I don't like putting in cards that rely on a single character to work, and I already have Holy Grail to be used as backup territory snipage if needed.

add more captures then. honestly, captures kick butt, the only problem is that a lot of people are protected from it. Raider's Camp allows for self capture.
