These are all  the Heretics:

Creeping Deceiver (Di)
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Crimson • Ability: 1 / 4 • Class: None • Special Ability: Protect up to 3 N.T. Lost Souls in Sites from rescue. May band to a heretic or N.T. female Evil Character. Cannot be negated by a character. • Identifiers: Generic NT Male Human • Verse: II Timothy 3:6-8 • Availability: Disciples booster packs ()

8\10 (depending on your number of NT lost souls)

False Teacher (Di)
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Crimson • Ability: 6 / 7 • Class: None • Special Ability: You may discard an O.T evil Enhancement from hand to protect all N.T. Lost Souls from rescue. If the card you discarded was gray, you may draw 1. • Identifiers: Generic NT Male Human • Verse: Jude 1:4 • Availability: Disciples booster packs

7/10 (Works well w\ Babs)

Philetus (Di)
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Crimson/Black • Ability: 11 / 4 • Class: None • Special Ability: Search opponent's discard pile for a good card and remove it from the game to protect N.T. Lost Souls from rescue (except by a Hero with matching brigade). • Identifiers: NT Male Human, Greece • Verse: II Timothy 2:17-18 • Availability: Disciples booster packs ()

3\10

Simon the Magician (Ap)
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Black • Ability: 4 / 6 • Class: None • Special Ability: Enhancements played with Simon may not be interrupted and prevented when played against N.T. Heroes unless Peter or Philip the Evangelist are in play. • Play As: Enhancements played on Simon cannot be negated when blocking N.T. Heroes unless Peter or Philip the Evangelist are in play. • Identifiers: NT Male Human, Magician • Verse: I Corinthians 1:10 • Availability: Apostles booster packs (Uncommon)

4\10 (Unlike the others, this guy is black and cannot use the same enhancements, otherwise he'd be at least a 6)

The False Prophet (Pr)
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Gray • Ability: 8 / 12 • Class: None • Special Ability: None • Identifiers: NT Male Human, Prophet • Verse: Revelation 19:20 • Availability: Prophets booster packs (Rare)

1\10 (Once again, the wrong brigade.)

Also…
Wolves in Sheep's Clothing (Di)
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Crimson • Ability: None • Class: Territory • Special Ability: Place in your territory: Your heretics cannot be ignored. Protect heretics in your territory from opponents' cards. You may discard this to heal a heretic. • Identifiers: None • Verse: Matthew 7:15 • Availability: Disciples booster packs

Can heretics block well?

Yes, I use them in my current T2. I actually mix em with Babs. In the 2 tourney games I played in with the deck, I didn't give up a soul

Heretics are more of a T2 defense.

Heretics could work well in teams, having 2x Creeping Deceiver, 2x WiSC, 2x Torment, and 2x Bel's Banquet.
