Its done surprisingly well for me so I'm having a hard time cutting cards.  My initial aim was for 70. I'm now considering going to 105.  I will not go to less then 70 or more then 105.  I've got about 6 different versions of the deck so far, including: straight brown, with pale green, this and various combinations.  The offense is flexible too but I need the speed for Gates of Samaria to work well.

I'd really like to add Crown of Thorns, more Samarias, and a little more offensive strength but I don't want to sacrifice defensive power.  I'm thinking of taking out SoG with the new rules (it was in their primarily to make sure I didn't get soul locked).  this is also for someone who asked to see the deck list.

Based on the type of deck that it is I would go down to 70, however I think that this could be really interesting as a 105 card deck, so I'm not sure which way I would actually suggest...

Regardless of going up or down I think that AotL and Mayhem would be good adds for this deck, you have enough offense to where AotL could be helpful, and why wouldn't you want Mayhem? You might also want to consider burial since you are running a lockout defense, but that's not so necessary.

Don't really need AotL, I don't have trouble eventually getting through opponents defense (even against defensive heavy) it just takes a while.  I would like some more ways to neutralize their defense so I can start walking in for rescues; not sure that AotL is going to help with that.  I probably should have Watchful Servant in because the opponent usually decks out and has used CM, etc. by that time.

Thought about using a small TGT, Peter, 4Drachma Coin, MMoJ, Salome, First Fruits.

Dont see how Mayhem will help me much with this deck.  Would like to get in Burial, largely to hit the negater lost soul since I use my soul abilitie but then I'd probably need another soul gen or 2.

Love the idea of 105 in theory but concerned it will dilute/slow down the deck too much.

Are you using this deck in tournament play at all? If you are, AoTL will net a rescue in most cases against KoT, Goliath, and the likes.  Mayhem, is a help to any deck, but then I guess I can see where it could be a liability for yours.  If hand clog isn't too much of an issue I would use mayhem, if it is, I guess you can leave it out.

Watchful Servant would definitely be a good add.  Another good add would be provisions, it would get you a +2 and can often win a battle, or at least set up a battle for Gideon or AotL to win.

I think that if you double up on the Sam stuff that this deck would stay relatively fast even at 105.  But the safer bet probably would be to go down to 70.

If you're going to go to 105, you might as well go whole hog and go to 154. 21 Samarias is epic.

I think that 70 is probably the ideal size for a T1 turtle. Not so slow that if your win condition is on the bottom of your deck it won't take forever to get it, but big enough to have a win condition, some support, and plenty of defense.

OK Here's how I would do it at 70.

Lost Souls: 11 9
   Lost Soul (Beggar)
   Lost Soul (can't be prevented)
   Lost Soul (deck discard)
   Lost Soul (discarder)
   Lost Soul (Far Country)
   Lost Soul (punisher)
   Lost Soul (shuffler)
   Lost Soul (Site Discard)
   Lost Soul (site guard)
   Lost Soul (site remove)
   Lost Soul (Wanderer)
Take out two lost souls, I'm not sure which ones

Lamb Dominants: 3 Add in AotL
   Grapes of Wrath
   Son of God

Grim Reaper Dominants: 2
   Christian Martyr
   Destruction of Nehushtan

Fortresses: 4  3
   Gate of Samaria
   Gates of Jerusalem
High Places I really didn’t spot many placers
   The Gates of Hell

Green Sites: 8 5 Take out x3 Samarias
   Samaria x 8 5

Artifacts: 4 5 - add in wool fleece and it will help Ahimilek, Gideon, AotL, and Edict win more.
   Chariot of Fire
   Hezekiah's Signet Ring
   Holy Grail
   The Bronze Laver

Curses: 4  3
   Covenant With Death (Brown/Pale Green)
Madness (Orange) Less need for it since you don’t have as much orange
   Plagued with Diseases (Brown)
   Unknown Nation (Yellow)

Multi-Color Heroes: 1
   Samuel (Gold/Green)

Silver Heroes: 2
   Angel with the Secret Name
   The Angel Under the Oak

Gold Heroes: 3
   Gideon
Jair Watchful Servant – I didn’t see judges seat, so he seemed like the best gut to take out for WS
   The Generous Widow

Green Heroes: 1
   David

Red Heroes 1: Ahimilek - To work with Amazing

Blue Heroes: 2 Taking these out will make room for Ahimilek and Amazing.
  Jacob
   Tribal Elder

Purple Heroes: 1
  King Saul King Amazing

Gold Hero Enhancements: 1 2 You have Sam and Gideon, you might as well use Sam's Edict
   Samson's Sacrifice

Green Hero Enhancements 1: Provisions – More Drawing, and CTB.

Multi Evil Characters: 5 4
Abimelech My last cut, I felt like he was the only reasonable option.
                Jezebel
                King Mannaseh
                The Amalekites Slave
                Damsel with Spirit of Divination

Orange Evil Characters: 6  3
Deceiving Spirit  Since we're cutting your deck down you don’t need him
Fallen Angel  Seems superfluous to me
                King of Tyrus
Seizing Spirit Banding is best when it’s CBN and Seizing here isn’t CBN
                Spirit of Temptation
                Wandering Spirit

Pale Green Evil Characters: 1
   Messenger of Satan

Brown Evil Characters: 11 9
   Foul Spirit
   Gomer
   King Ahab
King Ahaz His Search isn’t as good without High places in here
   King Amon
   King Jehoash
King Jeroboam I I didn’t see any evil set asides, so his ability is nil.
   King Joram
King Nadab  Without Jeroboam Nadab isn’t any good
   King Omri
   King Saul

Multi Evil Enhamcements: 2 1
Lurking You’ve got lots of banding already
                Lying unto God

Orange Evil Enhancements: 4  2
   Deafening Spirit (Orange)
   Satan Enters Judas (Crimson/Orange)
With less orange characters you need less orange enhancements
   Suicidal Swine Stampede (Orange)
   Worshipping Demons (Orange)

Pale Green Evil Enhancements: 1
   Death of Unrighteous

Brown Evil Enhancements: 8 7
   Breaking Jerusalem's Wall
Broken Cisterns This was a tough cut for me but you already have good decrease
   Gibeonite Trickery
   Haman's Plot
   Korah's Rebellion
   Shimei's Malicious Curse
   Stiff-Necked
   Wickedness of the Tenants

Whew, this was hard, but In think I got it down to 70, and I added in some better offensive options.
