Here's a modified version, after digesting the advice given below. Obviously, I couldn't take everyone's complete advice, but I did weigh all of it before editing the deck. It's now at 56 cards. Strikethroughs indicate cards removed, and red indicates cards added.

I'm not the most versed in a gen deck but for a general look at it I'd say you really don't need 12 Heroes.

I know a gen offense is based on its heroes but you could afforded to drop some. I'd keep the ones that can support Joesph above all.

I could see you dropping Pithom too because you only have one gold curse...

Maybe along those lines, do Eve and Abel?CotW overlap to some degree, so one or the other could go?

Rizpah’s Sackcloth can go. It's asking to get interrupted, and you lose your EC. Unless people in your area play site lock, I'd also take out Promised Land. You have Joseph & Abel who have access to Samarias which will probably be the most common site. You also have Mayhem and Joe b4 Pharaoh to hit sites.

And, I hate to even ask this (it almost makes me sick), but is there too much defense in this deck?

Yup looks that way. Though all in all it looks pretty solid, I see why you are having a hard time cutting it down.

I would take out Ripzah's sackcloth, Egyptian Horsemen, Huge Egyptian, and given over to Egypt on defense, to add in Baker, and TAS.  I don't think that deck discard is the most powerful way to go as it distracts from actually blocking, so I took out the two deck discard guys to give you + 1 LS generator and a +3 drawing guy.

On neutral I would take out, Banks of the Nile/Pharaoh’s Court, and the Deck Discard lost soul.

This gives you a 56 card deck, with a slightly smaller but more concentrated defense that draws faster and generates souls.

I think it's a solid deck.  However the I think that the deck discard strategy is more of a distraction than anything else.  You don't have to take this advice if you don't want but I think it will make you deck more competitive.

Thanks everyone! I always learn something when I get my decks critiqued. See the modified deck up above.

I am still considering pulling one of the ECs and adding the EE Magicians' Snakes, which is CBP. Good idea/bad idea?
I like most of the changes that you've made at this point.  I agree with you about pulling an EC, but I wouldn't add Magician's Snakes.  Instead I would add Falling Away.  You are going to be fast with a deck like this, and are likely to get to your FA before your opponent gets to their GoYS.  And FA is too powerful to leave out of a deck that is likely to be able to use it.

I would also pull another EC and replace it with Uzzah.  The 2 ECs that I would take out are the same ones recommend by Hiatus and Pol (Horsemen & Warden).

My next idea actually would disagree with my distinguished colleagues and actually recommend the return of Pithom and Given Over to Egypt into your deck.  Each of those 2 cards will often take out 3-4 cards of your opponent's deck.  Having the extra artifact up will protect you from Captured Ark shuffling away your Unholy Writ, and having Pithom out makes your opponent think twice before playing dominants in general.  There is a slight risk of taking out an opponent's LS off the top of his deck, but with TAS and Cupbearer, you are creating enough LSs to make up for it.  I think you'll get a lot more use out of Pithom and GotE than you will out of Dan and Pharaoh's Throne Room.

My other idea is that any Genesis deck should really have Stone Pillar at Bethel in it.  The chance to reach into your deck and get NJ to go with your SoG, or AotL, or any other critical card for your offense is just too awesome to pass up.  Sure you opponent might be playing with Nazareth, but in that case you have something to toss for Uzzah.  I think SPaB is way better than Numerous as the Stars.

I didn't realize SPaB wasn't in there and that PTR was. I'd take out the latter for the former.
