Good job Ben, I've got to hand it to you for originality and class. :-* Seriously this deck has a lot of potential.
-
Ohhh just wait for the Type-2 version, it's gonna be epic.
In fact... I know what I'm doing in a minute... ::)
-
LOL
-
Hmmm... that offense looks a little.... weak. only ONE battle winner?
That defense looks like something I'd build though. Nice and big. ;D
What if I were to have a protection fort for my ECs?
-
Ben, you could take out maybe one evil character for KotW.
-
What if I were to have a protection fort for my ECs?
Hmm, never really thought about it. I might end up changing the Pale Green to Crimson, and make the Grey solid hand control. Set Fire would help with access and getting rid of forts, and Great Image would help clear their territory.
-
Ehh... still. AoCP isnt a guaranteed walk in and win.
Theres plenty of ways to protect from it.
-
Well, if they don't have any protection fortresses out, then it should kill all of their evil characters in territory. I don't play AOC (promo) until the end of the game. By then I will have been playing defensive hand discard, taking them to down to 6-7ish after they deck out. After that I activate I AM Healing and attack with Generous Widow a few times, also using Brass Serpent, to take them down to 0. Then I pull out AOC and wipe their territory, and they don't have a hand left, so they should be out of evil characters.

instead of hand control, what do you think about deck control? You could use blue for your good and gold for evil. Gold evil can get rid of a massive amount of cards as you already know. It's just a thought...

Yeah that's what I used to play, but it doesn't work as well as I wish it did. The problem with deck control compared to hand control is that hand control is getting rid of stuff they are about to play, sometimes preventing them from winning that rescue attempt. Whereas deck control just affects what they will be getting later, which you could get lucky and hit some major cards, but they will most likely end up winning that rescue attempt unless you have all of the discards AND a battle winner.
But, I'm gonna make one anyways just for fun. ;)
-
That's why I thought you played hand control. But if you played a few artifacts and certain battle winners I think it could work almost as good as hand control. I don't know... ::)
-
I look forward to seeing what you come up with. :-*

Oh you'll do more than just see it, you're gonna be my test dummy. ;)
-
Your idea of a strategy is good; it seems like you've put some good thought into this. :police:
-
It doesn't have OT Simeon. It's hopeless.
-
Oh yeah... this works. Switch pale green to crimson, make it 154 cards and you're set. It works, trust me. You need crimson, even just for the sole purpose of "arrogance." And you need some more defensive battle winners... you need to waste their hand and then win. For the most part right now all you can do is discard their hand. Throw in a gray capture or two and then throw in the recursion with demons gray enhancement. It helps get back persistent pestering, which discards the most cards at once. :)
-
154 cards? Are you crazy, don't answer that.
-
how can you call this a hand control deck if you don't even have I am Holy?
Put it in boy!
By the way, it's alot better to focus on hand disruption on the good end rather than the evil end for 2 major reasons:
1: You can't afford to play hand discard cards that might not win you the battle
2: You're relying on the fact that your opponent is going to make rescue attempts each of their turns.
My suggestion is with I am Holy, throw in more good characters to cycle through that and shave some defense off

Yeah, it's actually successful, too. :D

Thanks for the advice. :)
First off, I'm aware that it's better to play more hand discards on offense, I only made this deck to see if the 6 card offense involving Generous Widow would work at all. You know, kind of like making a new archtype, you make something that seems like it won't work and then tweak it until it's viable.
I wanted to put I AM Holy in there, but it's too small of an offense. I was considering putting in TSA, CotH, and maybe one other Angel along with Chamber and I AM Holy, though.
But it's like making a heroless deck, sure it might be a lot better if you stick one or two heroes in it, but it ruins the whole concept of the deck. My concept in this deck is to have the smallest offense possible, and drive your opponent crazy using Generous Widow and constant healing while not being able to be captured, removed, or converted.
