Title: First deck from new set is best deck from new set?
Post by: Alex_Olijar on August 15, 2011, 12:12:21 AM
Cards in deck: 52
Lost Souls: 8
   Lost Soul (female only)
   Lost Soul (first round)
   Lost Soul (hopper)
   Lost Soul (N.T. only)
   Lost Soul (shuffler)
   Lost Soul (Shut Door)
   Lost Soul (Wanderer)
   Lost Souls (2-line)

Lamb Dominants: 6
   Angel of the Lord
   Grapes of Wrath
   Guardian Of Your Souls
   Harvest Time
   New Jerusalem
   Son of God

Grim Reaper Dominants: 5
   Burial
   Christian Martyr
   Destruction of Nehushtan
   Falling Away
   Mayhem

Fortresses: 2
   Stronghold in the Desert
   The Garden Tomb

Artifacts: 5
   Chariot of Fire
   Darius' Decree
   Four-Drachma Coin
   Holy Grail
   Unholy Writ

Red Heroes: 6
   Ahimelek the Hittite
   Asahel
   Ishmaiah the Gibeonite
   Peter
     Simon the Zealot
     Heldai

Blue Heroes: 1
   Ira

Purple Heroes: 4
   Abigail
   John
   King Amaziah
   King David

Multi-Color Hero Enhancements: 1
   Pentecost

Red Hero Enhancements: 5
   A Soldier's Prayer
   Ambush
   Bravery of David
   Centurion's Proclamation
   Mustering for War

Purple Hero Enhancements: 2
   Authority of Christ
   Reach of Desperation

Brown Evil Characters: 4
   Foul Spirit
   King Ahab
   King Jehoash
   Uzzah
     Jezebel
     Amalekite's Slave

Brown Evil Enhancements: 1
   Haman's Plot

The defense is kinda wishy washy, but I didn't really have anything else to do, and I had to put in Jehoash in anyway. I don't really see too much stopping this offense though. You might think there's some fluff in there, but I see some serious gold in that "fluff".

I really like the offense combo. How can I make it better and have more synergy?

EDIT: I'm a noob. I edited in Simon the Zealot and the two ECs RTS left off.

Why King Ahab?

Mustering for War would not be in this deck if it wasn't in the Nats winning deck. I like it.

Stronghold in the Desert? Really? Really? Take it out.

David's Triumph>Centurian's Proc.

Heldai>Helez

EDIT: Unified Kingdom is good too.

Mustering for War wouldn't be in here if red wasn't as slow as a slug.

I think you haven't read the ability recently. It's a troll with TGT.

David's Triumph targets a male, Centurion targets a human.

Oops.

Yeah, I should probably fit that in.

An evil character that King Amaziah can actually win a battle against would be nice.

Not with monobrigades running around. I guess it's okay with territory destruction...but it's deck discard. Meh.

David's Triumph is also CBN against Phillies and is 7/0, not to mention there's only 3 females that will ever see play.

1. I'm not sold on monobrigade defenses in other fast decks. It's concievable, but I won't change until it happens.
2. I can never draw too many cards to Ambush.
3. That's a decent call on another EC for Amazing, but he'll probably still be amazing without one. Depends on how the defense ends up.
4. Cent's is better because who is going to play Phillies?

1. Granted. Still, it's deck discard.
2. Ooooh yeah. I totally think it should be in there, I just though it was funny.
3. No, you definitely need another one. I'm not sure which brigade will be least played though...
4. Um, everybody who wants a small defense and loves G-Man. It's still good. Less good, but still good. Plus, 7/0, and it discards them.

I'm also a noob for not having Wool Fleece in this deck right now. What a joke. I am terrible at this game.

Both David's Triumph and Cent's Proc require a male to use it and target a male human EC.  I vote DT > Cent's Proc because 1. 7/0 > 2/2, 2. DT = CBN on Uriah or against Phillies...  Oh wait, Uriah isn't in this deck.

I still think you should replace John with Thomas and add Valley of Salt...  ITB, discard X ECs, CBN on two heroes?  Yes please.

Honestly I would take out stronghold... too many times have I discarded a lost soul.

Valley of Salt is pretty cool, but I'm not sure why I would take out a TGT character. TGT is awesome.

Wait, does it not have the "put Lost soul in play" part? That's lame. I guess that's definately gone then.

If you really like Ahab you should probably play with Gib Trick.

The defense is largely irrelevant. I just tossed new stuff in because it's cool. I could always go back tostandard small defense. This topic is really about the offense.

No Counsel of Abigail? CBP, ITB, usable by 7/11 of your heroes....

Why no foreign sword? It's a beast.  You could place their writ, Philly outpost or magic charms back on the deck.
