Looks really good. If you're truly wanting to go for Disciples "speed" then I recommend finding a way to add in Pentecost and Four-Drachma Coin.
-
^Agreed. Take out Sent Two by Two and Passover Hymn.

Not sure about taking out passover hymn. Helps if you run into Rain Becomes Dust and is also great in batlle. I would maybe take out Lampstand instead.
-
Lampstand?!? Maybe Golgotha...
-
Yeah, cause who still uses TGT anymore ;)
-
I use TGT for a FBTN band.
-
Golgotha was my other thought. Keep Lampstand in, for sure.
-
I could see High Priests's Palace coming out.

And lose all my pharisees to AoC?
-
Thought I already posted but apparently it didn't go through....
Yeah. HPP holds your arts (which you won't have trouble with beings you only have 3) and it'll protect both your characters*. Not that great.

passoverhymm does sound good against RBD and i can here Pol saying dont forget Blue Tassels for herods, Crown of Thorns should be a no brainer and Sabbath Breaker fits right in too as well as Torment, Pentecost, and 4D coin. Alot of help i know.

I'm interested to hear how your deck did today and what you decided on for the finished version. :)

I decided to keep it the same. Over all it did pretty good. I only played three games with it, and the only game I lost was against a Angel/Site lock with no defense. The first game was against my brother and the only defense he drew was Gomer (I think) and she was easily stopped. I won 5-0. The second game was against Ken. So long story short, I didn't draw enough defense to stop him until the end, but the real reason I won was because at the end his only EC in play was Self, so TGT got by him to win. I won 5-3. My Third Game was against the Angel/Site lock with no defense deck. That game didn't go as well. To start it did'nt take long for him to get through my defense, but he wasn't drawing any Lost Souls either. It ended up being down to the last turn but I forgot to put my last Lost Soul in Golgotha resulting in his winning the game by one turn. I lost 5-4. the last game I used my Teal/Red deck against my other brother and won 5-0 (Figures ::)).

Updated!

I've been playing a deck very, very similar to this for a while now. I wouldn't take out Lampstand. I actually decided to not use Guardian and Andrew in favor of Pentecost and Four-Drachma Coin, and I've never had an instance where I was sad about that choice. I lose a soul to FA here and there, but it's not ever something I went, "Oh man, if I'd had had Guardian I would have been okay!"

Crown of Thorns should be in every disciples deck.
-
even ones that have 10+ disciples?

I'd argue yes.
It's not out of the question that a couple Disciples might get taken out, even with Chariot in the deck. Crown of Thorns helps ensure that even a KoT can be taken out quickly.
-
Crown of Thorns should be in every disciples deck.
Only if Thad abuse is your only strategy. Disciples are a perfectly legitimate offense without relying solely on swarming Disciples and using Thad.
My Disciples deck went 2-1 at this past weekend's tournament, the only loss was to another Disciple deck that also didn't use Crown of Thorns (I don't think).
At OP: If your goal is to get Thad and other disciples out fast to use his protection all the time, then add Crown of Thorns. If not, I think the card slot is better served with something else.
-
Crown of Thorns makes the two best disciples way better, can snipe someone like Uzzah or Gomer in a territory, can help weaken banding chains on defense (which really helps Phillip/Bart). This may just be my opinion, but I wouldn't even consider playing without it.
-
Since this deck is for your dad and he's more likely to just play the cards as he draws them, instead of playing towards one specific overall strategy (Thad abuse) I don't see Crown of Thorns as being entirely necessary.

Honestly, I think I'd disagree. If someone is playing towards the strategy of Thad abuse, they're more likely to hold back and take measures to keep their Disciples from getting taken out (especially if they don't have Chariot of Fire). If they're not, they're more liable to use a few Disciples, and Crown of Thorns can compensate for that. I would call CoT a better addition to a Disciples deck than Andrew, especially if Christian Martyr and Unholy Writ are either used or impotent (due to Herod's Temple or The New Covenant or something).
-
I think I want to lean more toward Heros and enhancements. So I was thinking about adding Grapes and/or Mayhem, Andrew, Centurion's Proclamation, and David's Triumph, but I don't know what to take out :-\.
-
Unless you find yourself with Peter and 4DC together a lot, and if you can get by without the drawing, you could take out Four Drachma Coin for something you want to add in. I, personally, find my deck more useful without it, but since yours is a bit more speed-oriented than mine, you may have more use of it, lol.
-
I use mine almost every game.
-
I just tried it with the three cards and I think it would do better with Crown of Thorns.
