Different colored sites

I was wondering if there is a rule about how many different colored sites you can have in a deck. I know you can no more sites than there is LS in your deck, but is there any restriction on what colors the sites have to be?

Not that I know of, it's not generally a good idea to put all the same color sites, but you could if that floats your goat filled boat.
Jude is red, Seth is blue, I like Redemption, how about you?

Nope. You can have as many different colored sites as you want, as long as the number of sites doesn't exceed the number of Lost Souls in your deck.

Sometimes I like to include as many different color Sites as I can (usually limited to 7 based on the number of Lost Souls in my deck). That helps me ensure I can gain access to other players Sites. When you use all the same color of Sites you run the risk of facing someone who is using that same brigade on offense.

What Gabe said is probably the most common strategy nowadays, but historically people have also tried to use all/mostly the same color sites, and then have a defense that works well against that color offense. This is especially common with defenses that benefit from certain generic sites (Persians with Lion's Den or Media, Canaanites with Sodom, and any defense with Babylonian Banquet Hall and several Babylons).

NT defenses usually benefit the most from a variety of site colors (due to the special abilities on the sites from Di).

I might be missing something about sites. The color sites you have allow access to your opponents site?

You can put an empty site into battle as site access for an occupied site of the same color in an opponent's land of bondage.

Wow, I had no idea. Thanks for that! The joys of learning the game on your own with no one to teach you lol.

On that: At what point can I put the hero in the site? Is it when I declare the attacker?

the hero doesnt actually go in the site, the site just comes into battle with you when you declare a rescue attempt. If the rescue attempt is successful, then the site goes back to the land of bondage. If you die, then the site is discarded too.

I see. But if it has to be an empty site, wouldn't it come from the site pile, not the LoB?

Yes. Sites are only in your land of bondage while they have a lost soul in them.

yeah, triple play is right. Oops   :o
when i play, most people just put the sites in their LoB, even without souls in them. i forgot that they are technically supposed to be in your site pile.

For clarity, the Site is NOT discarded if the Hero is (unless it's something like "discard all cards in battle" or "remove all cards in battle from the game". If the Hero is returned to hand, for example, the Site would simply return to your territory.
