I don't have a ton of time to go through this, but first thought is take out a lot of offense. In a huge defense heavy deck, it will be a while before you can really attack anyway. So really, winning comes down to whether you stop their offense or not. If you do, then by that point in the game they won't have much defense left to stop you. If you don't, then the game's over anyway.
-
you could get rid of of egypt, only 3 are legal. only one herods treachery is allowed also.

Since the deck is T1 and he has 13 Lost Souls he could use 13 Egypt since it doesn't have a special ability.
-
yeah, so just take out herod's treachery. i read the rule wrong ::)
-
If you are trying to play a heavy defense, attack when possible. Then I would suggest taking a few of the double characters out and adding I Am Creator.
-
Do your characters get ganked by your opponent a lot? If not, you could take out Wall of Protection. In a deck this big it's unlikely you'd draw it at the right time anyway, unless you have fortress retrieval that I missed (which is entirely possible :P).
-
13 Lost Souls is not enough for a 105 card deck. 14 in the required number. You also have 2 Herod's Treachery. You are only allowed one per deck of multicolor Enhancements.
Burial and Guardian of Your Souls are two cards that I would consider taking out because you don't really have any searching to get them in time for them to be useful.
Chamber of Angels seems like a card that is expendable because you don't have I Am Holy in here and only have 6 angels while also having Chariot of Fire.
-
Good suggestions. I took out the illegal Herod's Treachery and TAS, as well as Burial and GoyS. I also took out the duplicate Heroes in favor of I Am Creator x2, and both Striking Herods and some other stuff. I'm only 22 over now.
And 13 is the correct number of souls for a 105. 14 would be 112.

False, check the card.
-
That doesn't make any sense...56 is 7, doubling that should be 112 for 14, taking 7 out should yield 105 for 13. Does it not increase incrementally?
-
56=7
63=8
70=9
77=10
84=11
91=12
98=13
105=14
-
What mathematical principle am I totally failing to grasp? I feel like my head is exploding...56 w/7 times 2 =! 112 w/14 AHHHHHHHHH
-
You get to have 7 "free" cards in your deck that don't include a Lost Soul. 1 Lost Soul has to be included for every 7 cards added, but if you notice in the first 56 cards in your deck, you only need 7 Lost Soul cards. 7*7=49, so that means you have one set of 7 without a Lost Soul. Don't ask me why - that's just how it is. ;)
-
If we're taking a vote I'll toss my hat in for requiring 8 Lost Souls in a 56 card deck. 8*7=56 :)

The Lost Soul count is always the number of cards in deck divided by 7 minus 1. If total card count is 't' and number of required LSs is 'L' then the following will always be true: (t/7)-1=L
Pol, you can't double 56, you have to double 50.
-
Right. The extra '1' offset is what throws the math off. Simply doubling it makes the 1 become a 2, and that causes problems (by doubling the number of 'free' cards). If it were to be, as Gabe suggested, a straight up 7:1 ratio of total cards:LSs, then doubling it would have the more intuitive effect assumed by MP: 56:8 = 112:16.
