Not sure what deck idea I could take to nationals (or may not go this year) , but had an idea.

Does Judges and Canaanites go well together?

Would it have a decent chance of placing top 3 in a type 1 2 player game at nationals? ( I remember tower of thebez and Gibenite curse  being really annoying when I had faced someone with Canaanites)

If not then what other defense or offense does Canaanites go well with?

On the line of Judges Cannanites, you could do a samuel offence rather than Judges, which is slightly faster. Still have Jair, still have both the angels, but include Sasmuel, Armorbearer, Ishmaiah, Abigail, King Saul, King Amaziah, and than it adds some speed. Also, if you don't want strait canaanites you could add Philistines.

I have around 5 differant decks that are Judges Offence with Black Defence that you could look at to get ideas and/or try a deck similar to one of them. PM me if you want specifics.

This also gets stonewalled by anyone playing any kind of anti-meta. Nazareth, Covenant with Death, Rain Becomes Dust, the Punisher Lost Soul, Hezekiah's Signet Ring, and a number of other things neuter it entirely. That doesn't mean it can't work, but I expect there to be an anti-meta presence at Nats this year, and an old school Samuel deck is vulnerable to pretty much all of it.
