Good afternoon my beloved faith family. The name of the following deck is "Achor" which comes from the Hebrew word "עכר" which is pronouced AY kawr or a'-kor which means touble, tribultation or to cause sorrow, hahaha! It's basically a deck discard deck or mill deck, the engine behind the deck are Egyptians got the inspiration by playing against Joshua Kopp at our State tournament last month in June which you can find event coverage on the South Florida playgroup's webazine, The Redeemer, http://www.openzine.com/aspx/PublisherZine.aspx?ID=11799&IssueID=9455

Anyways, the deck has gone 4-1 causally right now and is doing better than I expected, but I know there's room for improvement.

This isn't the first deck I've seen on these forums without Falling Away, just wondering why that is?

I only own one Falling away and it's in my tournament grade deck and I did mention that I was playing this deck causally.

Also, sometimes Falling Away just isn't worth it.  Most people have Guardian of Your Souls in their tournament decks, and as long as they draw GoYS before you draw FA, FA is worthless.  If you're playing a deck that is slower than the average deck at drawing FA, then you'll get to use it (on average) less than 50% of the time, so there are often better cards to put in.

Regarding the deck itself...

Switch Pierced Heart for Lying Unto God so your Gold Evil Characters can use it.

Your Evil Gold doesn't appear to have any battlewinners, so every time you block with just a Gold Evil Character, you're probably going to end up giving them a Lost Soul.  Maybe you should add in Failed Objective and/or Enslaved By Egypt.

Seeing as this deck doesn't seem to be particularly fast and you'll be going through your opponent's deck, Harvest Time probably isn't needed.

With only 6 Heroes, I'd recommend Chariot of Fire or Chamber of Angels, otherwise you might run out of heroes.

wonders forgotten should also be considered.

 Wonders Forgotten
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Gold • Ability: 0 / 4 • Class: None • Special Ability: Select up to four good cards from one player’s discard pile and remove them from the game. The battle immediately ends. Cannot be negated • Identifiers: None • Verse: Psalms 78:11 • Availability: Priests booster packs (Common)

maybe theres some way you could use your offence to help your defence more. and yes i see you angel at the harvest. theres also:

 Troops Discharged
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Gold • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Select two Evil Characters in play to fight each other. Wall of Protection has no effect. • Play As: Wall of Protection is negated this turn. Select two Evil Characters in play to fight each other. • Identifiers: None • Verse: II Chronicles 25:10 • Availability: Kings booster packs (Common)

for some EC shennanigans!

and how about stronghold in the desert?

Stronghold in the Desert
Type: Fortress • Brigade: Multicolor • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Protect contents from opponents' cards. While occupied, each time an opponent plays an Evil Character of a brigade he does not already have in play, discard the top card of his deck. • Attributes: Holds any number of OT warrior class human Heroes • Identifiers: Holds any number of II Samuel and I Chronicles warrior class Heroes • Verse: I Chronicles 12:8 • Availability: Rock of Ages (Set 11)

Stronghold in the Desert, I like I like! Haha; thanks everybody for you input.  Speaking of Wonders Forgotten, I was "Wondering", lol, if I should just go with a solid Gold defense and boot out all the Assyrians?

I love evil gold, but I've never had luck mixing it with something else. I'd recommend taking out the Pale Green to make room for more battle winners and deck discard cards.

I agree! gold is the best Evil brigade for the job. more deck discard and battle winners would be beneficial. ...here is another idea you may want to consider. cards that discard your opponent's deck without them coming at you for a lost soul. Given Over to Egypt, Hidden Treasured+and green prophet, Amasa the Raider, Warriors Spear, Stronghold in the Desert, Rash Oath. speaking of Rash Oath you may want to add a little bit of the Herods for the gold defense as well as Salome. High Places would work nicely in the deck. it combos with, Seemingly Insignificant (if you don't plan to successfully rescue that turn, then again it gives your opponent a small incentive to give you the lost soul...win/win!), Wicked Community, and some of the cards you already have in there. hope i helped some.  :)
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      God Bless!
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      marc
Can't think of something clever to say...sorry if you were expecting inspirational and/or witty...

I agree as long as you have enough battle winners for it i would go with just gold

I went with a totally Gold defense about two weeks ago, unfortunatly the deck only finished 3rd at my local district over the weekend, 1-2-0. The losses were close, 4-5.
