Your defense is not going to get very far. Firstly, you only have 1 character with less than 10 offense, meaning you will never get initiative, especially without Namaan's Chariot. Also, you have six EC's. You just have to have at least 8.

Also, you have a very large conflict in your deck. Almost all of your characters are NT, and yet you have both The Book of Life and Romans Destroy Jerusalem in your deck. I would replace RDJ with Namaan's Chariot and Horses, which you desperately need, and I would replace The Book of Life with the Warriors version of Might of Angels, which kills demons (I expect that was your main goal with that card), but not your Emperors (except for Augustus).

However, if you get rid of RDJ, you might have a tough time with Angels, so if you put in Gold Shield, which I think you should because you don't need initiative for it, you should also get rid of Balaam's Disobedience, because although it is usually the most useful Gray EE, you will be hard-pressed to ever get initiative to use it.

Since you will want to use all (or both) of your evil NT enhancements, I would get rid of Galba. You need some banding, so I would put The Terrifying Beast in.

I would say more, but I need to get going. Hope this is helpful.

That is what I was SAYING. If he puts it in, which I think he should, then he should take out one of the other enhancements that only target humans.

Good suggestions all.

First- The deck does have Terrifying Beast, for some reason, It didn't copy from the deck list. (If you count it out, it only comes to 55 cards yet it says 56 at the top)

Second- I don't usually have problems with Inititive since most of the emperors have only 1 toughness

Third- RDJ is key to this deck, I rarely play it without Chamber of Angels and Cap out because I don't want two turns or more witout heros. However it's discarding all "In Play" fortresses is awesome. It can really decimate a TGT deck.

I am going to really look at the suggestions given and see how I can update the deck. I will post the updates later today (as well as putting TB in)

Thanks guys

Kevin

So, you've actually played with this deck before, and haven't had problems with initiative? That's very surprising. Do you play lots of people who use Red?

FYI, when Rome gives your emperors First Strike, that means they are winning the battle anytime their strength is higher than the combined toughness of the heroes. So even if you are a 10/1 facing an 8/8 hero, they have initiative until they increase their toughness past 10. You definitely need some interrupts/negates.

BTW, Emperor Galba + Namaan's Chariot and Horses + Heavy Taxes = 1 of the best plays in the game.

And Terrifying Beast+Emperor Galba+Namaan's Ride+Twice Afflicted = one of the second best plays in the game.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I do understand that (thanks for the headsup though) and I simply meant that Rome isn't always out early in the match. In playtesting against myself, I got Rome or Galba or both out late in the game probably 60% of the time.

It brings up another point. Do I even need Rome in the deck? It seems to me that it hurts more than helps unless I want to put Wrath of Satan or other NT battle winners in the deck too. I only put it in to see how it would work.

Rome is mostly anti FBTN, if you're confident you can stop a FBTNB chain without it, remove it.
