Title: Brown defense
Post by: Ironisaac on November 21, 2016, 11:49:40 AM
What is the best strategy for a brown defense? I have one in lackey that i'm working on and i'm not really sure which direction to take it in. Anyone have any advice?

Run Coliseum and then run Gib Trick, Haman's Plot & Provoked.  Then on top of those Achan's Sin & Korah's Rebellion are very strong with Coliseum on the table.  I personally ran Jericho as well to make everything CBP, but I played type 2, so not sure how that translated to Type 1.  If you do run Jericho, you don't have to worry about Moses negating No Regard for the Lord (which is great for that pesky Hero that you don't want to deal with in battle).

Plus brown has some super strong characters, so you really can't go wrong with them!

Personally I don't even think Coliseum is necessary with Brown defense. I definitely like running Jericho though so that my ECs are CBP vs Moses and other Cloud based decks.

What about wickedness of the tenants from disciples? is that something that should be used?

As long as I'm running mostly O.T. humans, I'm definitely using Wickedness of the Tenants. However, Brown does have some really strong ECs that don't fit that category (Prince of Persia, Foul Spirit, Lions) so it's not necessarily an automatic include.

This was the only card I ran 4 of in my Type 2 at Nationals.  I did change the deck list to remove 2 of these in place of No Regard for the Lord (somehow I missed adding these).  They were extremely helpful.  Another issue you run into to is an all Angels deck, but there was only one in Type 2, and from what I was told, there was either very few or none in Type 1.

Those are actually the only three non OT humans that i'm using. i have 5 OT humans. Should i include WotT?

So 8 evil characters, how many enhancements are you planning on running?

6 or 7. Plot, Korah's rebellion, Gib Trick, Achan's sin, and Provoked for sure, but i still don't know if i will put in one or both of WotT and No Regard For the Lord.

You have the 5 I always run.  I really like WotT & NRfoL.  Other options are:  Dungeon of Malchiah (If running King Zed), Stiff-Necked (if not running Coliseum), Wickedness Abounds (if you don't have a fast offense), Confusion (Because it is awesome), Scattered (if you don't think you will face or play Coliseum)
