Non-Genesis/ Evil Kings of Israel blue/brown deck advice

Hey guys, I have been trying to build a deck for fun using a non-Genesis blue offense and a brown Evil Kings of Israel defense. I have gotten a fair way, but have hit a major road block and don't know how to proceed. My biggest problem with deck building is always cutting down on enhancements, and also choosing support cards and souls isn't easy.

This is not a complete deck yet, I have 42 cards in the deck pool at the moment, but that doesn't include arts, souls or doms. I am building it on Lackey, so I have access to all the cards hehe lol.

Anyway, here is what my deck is looking like at the moment:

Blue Heroes (10):

Ahimaaz (Ki)
Dan (FooF)- [[The Only Genesis hero]]
Ehud (Pats)
Ira (Wa)
Jair (Ki)
Mordecai (Pi)
Servant Girl (E deck)
Thomas (Ap)
Tribal Elder (E deck)
Jacob/Israel (CoW)- Blue/Green

Blue GEs (8 ):

Abe's Servant to Ur (Pats)
Book of Hozai (Ki)
Dove (E deck)
Job Overcomes (Pi)
Obedience of Noah (D deck)
Sign of the Rainbow (E deck)
Third Heaven (Ap)
Faith of Isaac (CoW)- Blue/Clay

Brown ECs (10):

Kings of Israel (5):

King Ahab (RoA)
King Ahaziah (PC)
King Jeroboam II (PC)
King Joram (Ki)
King Saul (CoW)- Brown/Purple

-I know King Saul's a DAC, but for the purposes of this deck, his hero side is irrelevant. Although, I just thought that it would be interesting to convert him from a brown EC to a Blue hero using Holy Grail, band to opponent's throne offense. Not sure how useful that would be, but an interesting thought nonetheless.

Others (5):

Jezebel (RoA)- Brown/Black
Gomer (TxP)
King Zedekiah (Ki)
Foul Spirit (E deck)
Unclean Spirit (E deck)

EEs (10):

Brown (6):

Bad Dealings (I deck)
Breaking Jerusalem's Wall (RoA)
Dungeon of Malchiah (Prophets)
Haman's Plot (Pats)
Provoked (CoW)
Wickedness of the Tenants (Di)

DAE/Multi-colour (4):

King Saul's Spear (CoW)- Brown/Purple
Every Man's Sword (CoW)- Rainbow
Confusion (CoW)- Brown/Pale Green
Scattered (RoA)- Brown/Grey/Pale/Crimson

Sites/Forts (4):

3x Samaria (Pi)
Gates of Samaria (RoA)

My thoughts so far are as follows:

My main reason for building this is to have fun playing with these (mostly) little used blue heroes, and I chose Kings of Israel for defense for draw options, as well as decrease from Gates to reduce Thomas to 1/1 for perfect initiative, cbn enhancements and hopefully unstoppable rescues.

Also concerned about Scattered being more of a liability/dead card now with coliseum, or negated by lone Captain, other fbtn heroes, as they seem to be prevalent in the meta again.

I know it's not a competitive deck, but I'm expanding my horizons- and I just like the idea. If you have any ideas on how to improve the strategy I have in mind, please share them with me. Eg:

- taking out/adding cards, changing defense(?)
- any combos/strategies you know of that could help
- examples of other decks that use decrease and initiative well
- what souls, doms and arts to use, etc

Thanks peeps, I look forward to hearing your suggestions and comments.

Please, someone help me. I'm just a poor, underappreciated pleb with a yearning to make the big time amongst the high rollers and card moguls. Please look on me in pity, and lend me a helping hand.

Love the concept-decrease your own guys for 1/1 cbn enh- it definitely works and I can tell you from experience. Been thinking of ways to implement it into different decks with provoked. The Samaria addition is nice. Personally I would go with a more splashy route to include Stephen another 7/7 who can get you cbn enh then clay Peter acts enh/faith enh and prolly Bartimaeus with Simon the tanner.

It might just be to much setup overall for t1 but it's another way toward the same concept of being able to have potentially 1/1 guys with cbn battle winners

I like that idea too. I would love to implement the Bartimaeus cbn faith enhancements concept, I thought that was an amazing way to use two long forgotten cards when I first found out about it.

I've never had a go at building a type 2 before. I think that this would be a good place to start. I'll def be asking LOTS of questions though. And i might use lackey for more deck analysis lol.
