OK, so I played this deck at a local NC tourney recently. I wanted to use the largest sized t1 I could with the new card limits (154). I wanted to make it without doms and to have it shutdown doms. I wanted to make it competitive. I failed. Record-1-1-1. :-\
Game summaries:
Game 1-played against ztemple/purple splash/brown. My Defense did well early on popping the territory class enh (which by the way are brutal), and messing with some teal heroes, plopping image on ztemple, and stealing his only site access. Had the alter o ahaz up but he sneaked by with rescues on the can’t be negated battlewinners of teal and purple. Then captured ark and the doms flew. He almost decked and I had him locked out except for woman only LS and I had an open hormah. I decided since he was playing teal, I had no fear of the LS being rescued. Until he puts down out lois and plays aoc when I block. Ouch. Game over right before time out. I lost, 5-0.
I was rewarded with a bye for my efforts.
Game 2-Played against blue/purple/pale Assyrians. Managed to deck out opponent even tho he played SOG/NJ. I was losing but I had 10 min to finish, and that I did with the aoc’s TSA banding and garden tomb. I won, 5-3.
Game 3-played against blue/purple/black. The deck was good, but He was a beginner and made several mistakes. Because he played slowly (not his fault as a beginner) we timed out. I decked him out and held him to 2, and I slowly creeped 2 back, and then it was a timeout tie, 2-2. I believe if he was more experienced, he would have won.
Since I failed, I was wondering if I could get any help in making this idea actually be competitive?
I know there are 50 card decks waaaaaay better, but I want to try and make this a valid strategy, or at least give it the ol college try.
The only restrictions are:
1. Must be 154 cards (t1)
2. Must have no doms
3. Must shut down doms

i thought 150 was the new card limit, not 154.

It was changed because 154 is the same amount of lost souls as 150. T2 got a similar change. Check Rob's post, he has edited it a few times.
