I think a deck like this would do just fine, I would look the following changes to make the CtB easier.

Jeremiah or Habbakuk in for Miriam. Getting around all the major CtB counters is awesome.
Darius Decree out for Guardian or Falling Away. Unless there's really all that much pre-block stuff going on in MD, Then cut one of your two purple sites.

Just a few ideas I think will make it a teeny bit better, but it looks very solid right now.

I like it...
I know it would probably beat 2 out of 3 of my current decks...

Anyways... have you talked to the guy from GCC yet??? It'd be really nice to get down there and see all you folks.

Matt
Gates of Hell is by far the best card in the game.  No questions asked.

@RDT: Since when is Pittsburgh in MD?  :D. Jeremiah or Habbakuk seems solid. I wasn't sure which other green character to use. They seem like better options. As for DD, yes, that's mostly a meta tech. One guy plays a white offense and another plays a speed type offense, so I wanted to make it harder for them to own up my defense.

@Matt Sending Trevor a message now. Hopefully he is comming down. It'd be great to see you too, plus we can always use more players :)

I don't see King Amaziah on your decklist.  Considering what else you have in your deck he seems like a must have.
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

That's a good point Gabe, but I'm not sure it would be adventageous to add another color with all the anti-more than 3 colors that goes around nowadays. Also, I'd have to drop something :). What do you think would be the best choice to drop if I wanted to add in Amaziah?

I played the above deck at the tournament yesterday. It has been modified since the original posting. The deck went 3-0, winnig by scores of 5-1, 5-3, and 5-4. The 5-4 game was especially satisfying, as the defense decimated a Garden Tomb deck. Other fun including achieving a 15/17 King of Tyrus via Large Tree in one game, and winning one block by using Zimri + Midianite Attack for FBTN, and then placing Large Tree on Zimri and winning another block with Zimri's ability.

You can see it up there. I added in Unknown Nation and Unholy Writ for Otho and Darius' Decree. Writ helped boost my stalling a little, and Unknown Nation helped with the FBTN theme on defense. I took Otho out when I realized Philosophy was not NT when it is evil, and when I realized I don't actually own a Decree, I put in Writ to help against play first pwnage or TGT, which I foresaw as the major issues. As it turned out, my FBTN character really took down the TGT when I had a slow offensive draw. By the time I had rescued a soul, I had discarded his chariots of fire and 6 heroes, so I didn't have much to worry about. I set my CtB against his Philistine defense, and 4 RAs later (There was a short pit stop at AoCp pre-block to kill 7 defenders), I won 5-4.

I don't ever remember seeing the final ruling, but I believe King of Tyrus is a King and therefore is qualified for Large Tree.

he is a king but not royalty. So you can use large tree on a crimson and then use the effect on KOT?

The final ruling is found on this thread. So yes, Large Tree can be placed on KoT.

Yeah, it's too bad you are not around for them. We have anywhere between 6-12 players. A ocuple guys from Ohio even came over once. I missed that tournament so I am not sure whom exactly.
