At first I thought you just quoted the whole thing.

I don't really understand your suggestions. Taking out the self-capture will severely weaken the reliability factor of this deck, and Midwives enables me to not run CoF. Infectious Diseases is a battle-winner that there's no protection for and potentially takes the Hero out permanently. I could see taking out Assyria Conquers and Assyria's Tribute, as well as Burial, but idk about the others.

Here's my suggestions:

Out:
Burial (stopped by LotS anyway)
Raider's Camp (too much protection from capture)
Magic Charms (doesn't work with RC anyway)
Enchanter (don't need without Magic Charms)
Women as Snares (opp's defense won't be a problem)
Captured by Assyria (too much protection from capture)
Ittai
Sword of the Lord
Assyria Conquers Israel
Infectious Diseases
one LS

In:
Grapes of Wrath (it just rocks)
King Sargon (to get A-Camp)
Unknown Nation (to get an EC)
The Amelekite's Slave (to get an EC & create a LS)

I get where you're coming from, but here are why I need more convincing.

Grapes of Wrath is just a judgment thing for me. I've never found it all that useful.

There's little to no protection from self-capture. Two of my EC's will win the battle just by blocking if I have RC and the matching Hero.

Enchanter is just great any way as a battle-winning EC that doesn't need initiative.

The Tartan negates the most popular form of Capture protection, leaving me free to do so.

Captured by Assyria can capture Evil Characters as well, making TGT more potent.

Sword of the Lord+Hidden Treasures is one of the best combinations in the game.

Again, infectious diseases is a battle-winner against which there is no protection. For someone discouraging me capturing, I find it odd that you encourage taking out such a hoss card.

Try it, you'll like it.

Yes, but I've never liked it.  You don't hurt their offense at all, you lose an EC, and just stall for 1 turn.  And that's assuming Raider's Camp has come out already.

True, but Captured by Assyria will cause hand clog waiting for him to show up.

Maybe, but it's another enhancement combo you have to wait to get together.  I really hate hand clog.

This is another card that only stalls for 1 turn, and doesn't really hurt their offense.

I have tried it. I find it marginally useful sometimes, but it's usually still in my hand at the end of the game if I win, and if I lose then it obviously didn't help.

Actually, that's not true of self-capture characters. Both Asnappar and The Tartan capture one of my own Heroes to stuff Raider's Camp. They're then free to win the battle on their own merits, and in either case it's an answer to an AotL or a CBN battle-winner.

That assumes my opponent will always get Capture protection before I get Captured.

The potential of creating a side-battle that Discards their SoG, draws two cards, and fills my Raider's Camp is worth one card's worth of potential hand-clog.

Not necessarily. If they have few heroes drawn at the time it can stall for a lot longer than that, and if they have one particular hero that is crucial to their offense, or particularly harmful to me, getting rid of it permanently is a good thing.

*EDIT* Decklist updated. It's at 56 now.
