This issue I have come across whenever I thought about something like this is that in Redemption, every kind of ability has very strong counters and it is virtually impossible to set up a scenario where one concept can win the game, especially on defense. The only decks with this strategy I have known to be successful are turtle decks with an offense that tries to set up an unstoppable rescue, such as decking an opponent and attacking with Watchful Servant. The only defensive concept that could do something similar to this is site lock, but these days that is basically impossible even if the whole deck is built around the idea. I personally like making and playing these decks a lot, but in the current state of Redemption, I don't see an all eggs in one basket kind of deck being competitive.
