Sons of Thunder seems to win a lot more battles than Faith as a Mustard Seed if you have that card.

I've never seen the point of either.  Both are too situational.  I'd add 4DC.

Wow, that's almost identical to the deck I've ran all year. Pretty solid.

Nice call on drachma kittens. As for sons of thunder I don't know I like to have mutiple play options for a card so it isn't potentially wasted in situations. I also don't attack with the Z boyz that much, usually Philip and Bart (imo better than thaddeus even), thaddeus, Thomas occasionally, and Matthew.

Gabe, MKC what do you guys think? I should include both Faith and Coin or just one? If so what one?

whats the holy grail for? proud pharisee shenanigans?
Holy Grail is just good, it hurts all defenses and especially the ones that hurt disciples, like philly splash and Herods.

faith over coin and sons of thunder, for the exact reason you listed. i tend to dislike cards that while powerful only work within a very limited scope.

i understand your sentiments on grail, but it seems you picked that over crown of thorns, which is odd for a disciples deck...

I'm still on the fence about Crown of Thorns in T1. Often Thad doesn't need it to do his thing. And T1 Disciples is not really all about Thad anyway. Like you said, Phil + Bart rocks!

I've never been sad to have FaaMS in my deck. It's no AoCp but it's so diverse that it's good.

Only one.  Without a protect fortress, I don't want to be wiping out my own defense.  It's nice for the final rescue, or early on.

If it were really just as simple as that the answer is obvious, AoCpx2. But what you're talking about takes several card slots and a lot more time. Based on the cost/benefit ratio, in this deck I'll take FaaMS. AoCpx2 is a nicety but not at all necessary.

If Disciples has Crown, I'm worried. If not, no sweat.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I agree that Phil+Bart is stronger than all including Thad. James+John is second though, so if you've lost your Phil or Bart, then most attacks should come from James+John and that's when SoT is needed. If you're ranking FaaMS higher than SoT though, i'm not sure I see a spot for it. Blue Tassels would be nice to have if you could work it in.

Mat+Thom is nice too because then you draw 3 and when you play something it cannot be negated

I know that you are far superior than me when it comes to deck building, especially in type 1 but one blue character (either thomas, bart, or claudia-good against the mirror) and golgotha (for evil recursion-even curses) that you dont even have to have btw, and abe's kid (that can operate as a battle winner it self!) is not asking too much id say to recur aocp.

just make sure you include something to stop thier Herods Temple and your good.

That's 3 cards I could be using to win battles for sure with...

Thomas rarely does anything but exist in a Disciples deck, so switching him for the Blue one is zero-sum. Then finding a place for Abe's Kids turns in into another AoCP, which is guaranteed to be better than FaaMS. If you care to add Golgotha it turns into another Just a Hireling.

Thomas rarely does anything but exist in a Disciples deck, so switching him for the Blue one is zero-sum.

Someone doesn't play Disciples much, or at least a fast version of Disciples. Purple Thomas is far superior to blue Thomas in this and most other versions of a T1 Disciples offense.

I'm hardly a superior deck builder to you. You come up with some pretty amazing things that I'd never think of trying. I do feel your style is better suited for T2 or in slower, more defensive T1 decks than in fast T1 decks.

In T2 you can afford to have a blue Thomas or Bart, or to take up a card slot for Claudia. In T1 you are already pressed for space to fit everything you want into a 50 card deck so I can't find room to add Claudia. Purple Bart and Thomas both are very useful so the cost/benefit ratio doesn't pay off to make that trade.

Let's say for a moment that you have a spot for an extra Hero (Claudia) or don't mind the cost of using an inferior blue Disciple. I can agree with trading Abe's Kid for Faith. Now you still have to find a way to make room for Golgotha. I've seen people justify that, although I can't, so maybe you could fit all three.

Apart from making room for the necessary cards, the other problem I have with this in T1 is at least half the time you draw Abe's Kid before you have played AoCp so it's clogging up your hand. To call it a 2nd AoCp is a best case scenario that's only accurate if you get is late game. It could also be a 2nd MLaMG but that's only really amazing on Thomas who you turned blue so you can play Abe's Kid. A second Pentecost? That's not really worth all this effort. The list of enhancements worth recurring gets short really fast in this offense.

I find this combo to be amazing in T2 or in a defense focused T1 deck. But it only weakens a fast T1 Disciples offense.

I admit I have had Abe's Kid sitting in my hand before and once i tried a blue Thomas before and he was my only hero turn 1 with nothing to play on him. Claudia has helped me alot in the mirror though and I usually band to Phillip+Bart or James+Thadd and a negate in hand with a big band is not that bad.

Abes Kid also helps against cards like Rain becomes Dust and Confusion of Mind that can cause problems against the deck.
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!
