I've looked all over, and I can't find anything on that.
Please advise?

I'm assuming you meant for Type-1, since it's in the T1 Deck Advise. So here's how you would put together an ANB T1 deck:
Basically you play with a small/medium green prophet offense that includes ANB, Hidden Treasures, and a few other enhancements (Provisions, etc..) and play a side of White with Moses and Elders, and Lost Coin Found (yes it says 3/3 or less, so you have to recur MoE first). I play with a few FBTN offensive characters in my ANB deck, just because once you and your opponent shuffle all of your cards back in, it's hard to stop a FTBN character right off the back. The defense is for you to decide, it varies by how many cards you're playing with in your deck. Or at least that's how I choose a defense.

So where does the "abuse" part come in? Or is it just that you're playing ANB? Is it more in Type II?
Is there anyway to play ANB and have something left on the field besides the LOB and Discard piles?

Land of Bondage goes in too.
However, there are ways to keep cards out. Heres a hint... Rusty nails and Syrians work AMAZINGLY well with ANB. ;)

You'll be able to recur ANB twice with Moses and Elders and Moses and Elders again after you recur'd that with Lost Coin Found.
As for cards remaining in play the only one off the top of my head is the Thorns lost soul, that would prevent the lost soul from being shuffled.

Generally "abuse" means using the same card more than the standard number of times. In this case, Lawfuldog discussed how ti recur ANB. You could theoretically get three uses out of ANB given what is above. Four if you added a placer dude.
Or is it just that you're playing ANB?
Some people (cough Guardian) feel using ANB at all is abuse. That is not standard terminology, however.
Is it more in Type II?
I have four or five ANB in some of my Type II decks. I do not recur them from discard, however.

If you have the Color Guard in a green site, all evil characters will remain. Thorns LS will keep all LS in play. Any EC immune to green or protected against shuffle will remain. I know of at least one way to keep all of your heroes in territory from being shuffled. (I'll let you figure out the last on your own.)

I think the term "ANB Abuse" comes from the feeling of the victims of the unmitigated power of an ANB attack. They feel that their deck has been abused, thus, "ANB Abuse."
I once played ANB 9 times in one T1 game (with a <100 card deck). This was pre-FoOF btw.
I think Passover was ruled not to work, I'm not sure though.

A negative effect is any effect from cards not of the same alignment (i.e., good, evil, or neutral) targeting a character.

I just thought of another EVIL way to keep your ECs (read: Demons) after you ANB blast. ;D

Passover protects from negative effect. Negative effect have been ruled to be effects arising from cards of a different alignment than the one protected. So, Passover does not protect heroes from the effect of good cards, of which ANB is one.
I'm sure other people know the answer, but rather than shouting it out it may be fun for metalpsalm cogitate for a bit. At least once I know something is possible, I prefer to try to figure it out on my own.

Somebody was telling me about a pretty cool way to keep characters alive with ANB. It involved self-capture and the protector ls I think, not sure exactly how it worked though.

I can do it infinate times with 2 cards. Moses and elders, and somen green/white band. Moses and elders gets shuffled in folks ;)

im guessing by using blindness. i still cant figure out what 'rusty nails' means though.
or how to keep heroes out.

Rusty Nail is a term for a card. A certian Lost soul which was mentioned after my post.
