Cards: 56  I like the idea of a small size defense-heavy

Souls: 7
3 Liner
Hero Discard
Draw 1
Shuffler       This is really risky as it can give your opponent a free block
Female Only
NT Only
Demon Discard

Doms: 6           I think you really should use all 7 dominant spots.

SOG
NJ
AoTL       Grapes is better for defensive-heavy because you can use it to be a block
CM
Burial
Vain Philosophy
DoN -or- Falling Away -or- Mayhem would all be good adds

Arts/Curses: 3
RBD       Curses are too easy to get rid of these days.  Gifts of the Magi would be better to stop
drawing, or you could go with Darius Decree which is also a great anti-meta artifact.

HHI
Charms

Forts: 1
Judge's Seat

Heros: 5
Gideon
Jair
Watchful Servant
TSA

Good Enhances: 6       Ratio problem:  More GEs than GCs leads to hand-clog.  Cut 1.
Deb's Directive
Gideon's Call (J)
Edict
Raising Lazarus (I)
Eli's Sound Advice
When Judges Governed (J)

Evil Characters: 11       Defense heavy decks need way more ECs than this.  Add at least 4.
Egyptian Archer
Enchanter
Assyrian Archer
User of Curious Arts
Balaam
Assyrian Survivor
KoT (UR)
Demon Behind the Idol
King Manny
Damsel
Egyptian Mags
Foreign Wives
Assyrian Siege Army

Underwood is dead on with the fact you have a ration problem going on. Try to only have 1 or 2 more enhancements then characters with a 11 to 18 ration you are never going to have enough EC's.

Offensively
I don't like Eli's sound advice, Gideon's call or deb directive

sound advice is literally only a d3 play next with out the negate it's worse then reach of desperation or words of encouragement.

Directive doesn't seem great in this deck what are you going to do band in jair with a protected Gideon?  If u want directive drop sound advice for jeptha.

Gideon's call seems pointless in this because it's not like ur in a hurry to rescue. You should be able to survive a soul drought in a defensive heavy deck. I would probably drop it for angel with a secret name. It's amazing to jeptha.

Defensively
Laban makes sense for you because he can use both gray and pale green plus he is another Multi-color magician so I would drop seizing spirit for Laban (p).

Also invoking terror is a must in this defense so drop confusion of it. I understand confusion seems so great but how often does it trigger? Invoking terror can trigger multiple times in a game and can be an infinite block with HHI active and egyptian magicians.  That said I would play cup bearer for soul gen and to recur EM if you need to. If u don't need to he is great to drop failed objective on.

I would drop  enchanter for cup bearer.

Other cards I would consider making space for would include Grapes of Wrath, WWW, angelic Guidance, captain of the host, striking Herod,  astrologers, I also might try to get self in there to help against TGT, gardensciples, water garden, or disciples.

To get grapes in I would drop DoN, u do have ASA that can hit arts.

I agree on the Eli's Sound Advice and the Gideon's Call.  I would keep the Deb's Directive, and instead put in Jephthah and Angel with a Secret Name.

Defensively

You already have Manny, Damsel, and Egyptian Mags, so I don't think you need another multi-magician.  But I agree that Egyptian Cupbearer is a great add to this deck, so I'd put it in for Seizing Spirit.

I also agree that Invoking Terror is going to be useful more often than Confusion.  But Confusion is SO game-changing when you get it off, that I think it should probably stay.  I would keep Confusion and instead put in IT for Mag Snakes (which I don't like as much because it can be interrupted/negated).

To get grapes in I would drop DoN, u do have ASA that can hit arts.
I completely agree that you need Grapes (as I mentioned before).  You could either put it in for DoN or AotL, but it needs to be there.  If you take out DoN, then I would probably add either Lying Unto God or Captured Ark.

Well, unfortunately, I do not have xtas of IT or Astologers because they are both in my Purple Kings/Babs deck.  I can put in Grapes, Jephtha, and AwoSN.

I agree on keeping Confusion.  If I could play it after getting 2K horses off that would be awesome!  I may take your advice and take out Mags Snakes for IT.  I will sub in EM with it.  I will take IT out of my babs deck because I don't use it that much in there anyway. Also, if i make these changes do you all think that it would be tourney potential this weekend....hint hint josiah! lol!

With those changes I would say this becoming a good deck. Play testing, piloting, and probably a few more changes will take it to a top level. I'm glad you will be there Saturday.

I would assume this deck will do well but will probably be unlikely to win the tournament with out some practice and testing. With good draws who knows?

I also agree with dropping the Confusion. Unless you're playing a fast deck, making Confusion live is far too risky. Too many Naz's still floating around, and you may not even pick off anything useful by the time you draw into it and use it.
