the idea behind this offence is to discard your hearos to use I Am Holy and then get them back with spy+CoF=Lampstand for protection, then use the banding chain to win.

put lying unto god in your defense to stop alter of dagon and then use holy grail on offense to convert the seven sons. if they stay in hand they get sniped by i am holy. if they get dropped they get converted.

I think possibly the biggest problem would be holding off your opponent's offense while you spend twenty turns discarding his hand and then getting your heroes back. You could use Herod Phillip II and lots of big tough guys or something, but that will work best when your opponent is decked and has run out of stuff, in which case I think you could find better (faster) ways to win the game.

You should do a lot of heroes with banding/ high numbers and constantly attack and use negates. Using negates is the same thing as making them discard stuff. Eventually, with I Am Holy every turn, they have nothing evil. Just have a strong defense.

7 sons cannot be prevents so centurion doesnt stop him. the offence is small so that the defence can be huge to hold someone off. this would be an 8 LS deck with probably around a 25-28 card defence, probably crimson. this isnt a tourny deck, just with the current ruling and the I Am Holy/chamber of angels combo not working i wanted to make a combo with I Am Holy that would work. yea it will take forever, but its almost a guarenteed win, pretty much the only way to beat it is with an Abom deck, or a orange demon deck with the darkness or a very, very well played herod defence

i changed it a little again, adding the other centurian and wash basin. wash basin+AotL at the right time takes care of the orange demon combo by discarding them on the bottom of deck or hittimg them in territory when they use gates. the only thing i can see stopping this deck from winning (given that the defense holds out and locks them out) is an A-bomb deck. anyone see any other way to beat this offense? i know i will take forever, but its a guarenteed win against anything but A-bomb

King Amon and King Nadab could cause problems as they can recur enhancements.

Household Idols/Golden Calf/Confusion of Mind make your banding useless.

Hezekiah's Signet Ring will also shut down your Chariot recursion.

AotL and Grapes take care of nadab and amon and DoN plus defensive artifact killers can take out any artifacts. multiple artifacts could cause a problem, but not if you play the deck smart

NO game is EVER a guaranteed win for EITHER side. I could see a speedy or defense-lite deck beating a deck with this offense pretty easily, and you can never predict what random hand and deck d/c can do. It's a nice offense, yeah, but don't be surprised when you meet a deck that can counter it.

Casting Lots, Imprisoned, and Philistine Priests+DoN on CoF makes your life difficult. Herods laugh at this win strategy, Abom will carve it up, and Four Dolla Holla or Simon Zealotes will render the strategy utterly impotent. Gimmick offenses like this may win a good number of the time, but at bigger tournaments they'll run into at least one of the problems above in at least three games, making a win impossible.

Philly Priests needs a side battle (since I'm assuming he's going to deactivate CoF when he doesn't attack with Spy). Imprisoned will be discarded?

Not sure what Four Dolla Holla is, but you're right about Casting Lots, Abom, and Simon.

I think I am Holy can still be a legit part of a larger overall strategy, but I think it goes better with Job or Genesis, two themes that can still be viable even if I am Holy gets shut down somehow.

micha+hidden treasures+sword of the Lord is stopped by wall, herods cant beat this becasue you just save AotL for herod the great and they have nothing that can beat it because the banding is so big, sure they could discard 1 and capture 1, but after that you still would have 4 heros in battle. you can always kill 4 drachma coin with DoN or a defensive art killer. simeon the zealot can always be killed by the defense as well. a huge 29 card philly sitedefence would probably go along with this deck, but it wouldnt have to.

I meant this particular IaH offense. I don't think IaH can be used as a main strategy. With a Job or Genesis offense, it could definately have some benefits.

I'm using two of my own characters. Wall doesn't stop it.
You're gonna DoN 4DC? You'd have to deactivate all of your artifacts to do that, losing you precious time.

I still don't think this is fast enough.

ok wall wont i was assuming you were using my characters, but then you have to be using both that offense and that defense and have all those cards in hand, which is very very unlikely. it will only lose me 1 turn to DoN 4DC, so you're not losing much. its not meant to be a fast deck or a tourny deck, more of a theoretical deck/offense. given you have a defense that will hold out forever and your opponent isn't using A-bomb or a deck that is specifically meant to kill this one, this offense will win every time

you would be surprised how well a huge site defense can hold out. I used to have a 30 card crimson/black site defense that could stop anything and only lost when my brother, who helped me build the deck, build an offnese to specifically counter it. most offenses today are pretty small, around 20 cards, and they don't have much depth and don't always have a ton in to combat sites (ill probably get torn apart for saying that, but that is how my playgroup usually is) a giant defence catches people off guard, along with sites and it can be hard to beat. fishing boat gets around site decks, but phillies have overwhelmed by philisties and goliaths armor, plus using darius decree and wrath, you can put a huge dent in a disciples offense. Also, this is a theroretical offense. i dont play to ever build or use it, but just try to build a perfect, yet very impractical offense. I had 3 of these offenses before Grapes and darius decree came out, so i decided to try again i think this works (except againt A-bomb, theres no way arond that without putting in 10 cards just to combat that 1 less-used strategy)
