I have had quite the opposite experience with Tracer.  He sent me my cards quite promply and I have enjoyed a few online games with him (including my first T2 game that lasted three hours and we weren't even close to finishing).

Why are we doing this anyways.  Asking others their opinion on some one who is active on the boards will almost always end in a flame war (rushed to get hot dogs ready).

I've done several trades with Tracer, and he is very good about getting the cards out promptly and securely. I have no complaints at all about him ^_^

Tracer is such a good trader, that for our recent deal, he drove over 5 hours to personally hand deliver my cards*. Now that's dedication!

*This event may or may not have coincided with the MN Type 2 Tournament. But seriously, he's a great trader, and a great guy.

Tracer sent the cards as promised and in great condition. He requires that you send cards first, though, so please keep this in mind when trading with him.

Seriously, if anyone can be trusted, YMT can be trusted. :)

I’m sorry that both you and crustpope didn’t like your well-conditioned, well-shipped cards in our trade.
If you actually read their posts, they give good feedback on the cards, just not on the no-trust thing you have going on.

I didn’t single you out.  I got burned for over $60 in cards from an experienced trader with no negative feedback.  I do that to everyone now.  It’s not personal please don’t take it that way.
If it is now your personal policy to make everyone send first, you have to tell them that.  Otherwise, it is poor form to not send at the same time.

Wow.  So I gave you more than you asked for, and I still get nailed.  How ungrateful.
I think you are taking what he said really harshly...

It is extremely standard to always send at the same time unless agreed upon otherwise before.  Idk if you told them you'd only send last before the trades, but you do need to.  If you don't, it is cause for negative feedback (abut shipping, not the cards/condition).

i can understand tracer's policy because i have also been burnt in the past. however, it should have probably been communicated to the other party before the trade went down. what if both parties both upheld an unspoken policy...and waited for each others cards forever? :)

I told them both before the trade

Well, it seems they disagree.  Either way, we now know your trading and as long as you clearly state that you send 2nd, you shouldn't have any problems.  I'd trade with you instantly if I was playing...

Tracer and I just completed a deal where the cards I received were in excellent condition. If you trade with him, you may have to wait longer than with some others, but you will receive everything above and beyond what was promised.

Good point.  I am removing all my other posts  I agree 100% with this one.

I know Tracer personally and have traded with him (in person) many times.  He's great to trade with every time.  I can also personally attest that he's a responsible adult who will always follow through on his commitment to someone, so you have virtually no risk trading with him.

Being new to Redemption and trading online, Tracer assumed that everyone in a community based on a Christian card game could be trusted.  He made a large trade with someone who completely ripped him off.  A couple years ago that individual had a reputation for this type of behavior but Tracer wasn't here then so he didn't know to take precautions.  I thought the individual had matured by now.  I won't mention names or go into detail because it wasn't my trade and I only know one side of the story.

Now Tracer is apprehensive and doesn't know who he can and cannot trust.  Over time this will change as he learns who everyone is and who's reliable.  I'm sure anyone who's been burnt when trading online can understand his position, whether or not you feel it's right or wrong.

I respect Tracer not only for his quickness and great care for mailing, but also for his character.
He is very Kind and Generous, may he be blessed as he has blessed others  :)
