Teams is very fun to play with! My partner and I use warrior class banding. But, what brigades do you like to use? You and your partner should use decks that you know how to play with the best.  :)

I did Purple/White (no TGT) Egyptians at nationals, my partner did red brigade banding, and we placed 7th.

Last year, Evil Gold was rarely used, but now we've got Herods.  With shared fortresses, it should work pretty well.  Still, you get slammed pretty hard by the new CBIgnored stuff, so make sure you've got counters.

I'd try a TGT just because of the CBN banding for the Garden Girls and maybe the occasional ignore.
Retired?

I love having both decks use Sads or Pharis for defense. Really any kind of deck where either the offense or defense (or both) of both decks work together is great to play.

Key: Don't use cards that punish your teammate.  Either have completely independent deck concepts, or have transferable metas (I.e. phars, sadds, Egypts, Phillys, Genesis, Luke, Prophs, TGT, Discs, etc...)
