Can we pull a SOV and show up in a dress to be "Female"?

If it was possible, i'd do it just to say I could.

I can't imagine Rob ever allowing super abilities on custom cards. I expected them to be middling cards that players would use as niche cards to fit in their decks (NT musician, anyone?). In fact, I believe the identifiers will be more important than the SAs for most players. Even where that may not be the case, a card may fit a deck concept nicely. My daughter doesn't play musicians, but another NT female hero fits with her TGT-based deck.

Agreed. I think the fact that it's a card of yourself makes up for the fact that the SA's are less than stellar. Besides, since I am currently not sure if I'll be able to go to Nats, I wouldn't be thrilled to see people come to other tournaments with cards only they can use when I never got such a chance. I have a chance of getting the new promo (if it is released) through trades, but the custom cards aren't available like that.
What is the point of buying a custom card for $25 if it can only be used for a year and probably won't see much play?

Well, I think I can claim the same. ;D

Seriously though, ouch. I'm a big wimp, and I get noshus (too lazy for spellcheck) at even the slightest amount of pain, so I hope my baby doesn't mind having yesterday's tuna salad all over him when he gets out. I also might need him to hold me...

I like the Musician one that lets you grab a Hymn from the discard pile, Makes me want to sing "Gloria, Gloria, Hallelujah"
That's the one Kurt is getting, too.

I like the Luke hero that makes everyone draw a card, since I likes my A-bom deck.

As to the relative weakness of the abilities, Rob requested average starter-deck level cards.  He chose the access ability for all of them.  He chose the "draw a card" ability that went on a couple of them and was modified slightly for the gold Luke hero.  He wanted the rest of them to be a similar level of ability.

I think a 7/4 green N.T. prophet with site access would be better than most players would assume, but then I know what's coming.  ;)

Does these have to be preorder or can we get them on the spot at Nationals?
