Step one: Use SWS to exchange into your opponent's territory.
Step two: Play Self
Step three: Band SWS back in and Exchange it with Self
Step four: Job Overcomes.

Overcomplication is overly complicated.
-
Why didn't I think of something like this for Lambo's combo.... I was resorting to converts/Stalks of Flax.

SWS can't enter the same battle twice right?

I'm guessing he means two different turns.
Epic.

I'm not completely sure if this works, as if I recall correctly, in order to count for Job Overcomes, the opponent has to own and control the brigades. Even though SWS exchanges permanent control, it never exchanges ownership.
Regardless, Job Overcomes is probably not a bad idea in a lot of offenses, due to the likelihood of increased Herod's Treachery usage, as well as Hating the Light.
-
"For each Evil Brigade your opponent has in play..." there's no indication of ownership there, just control. It's the same kind of verbiage cards like The Lord Fights for You uses.
-
I made an entire deck based around this in the fall of 08 after FoOF was released. So win.
I found it easier to force a side battle and choose to control 7WS (whom I had previously given to my opponent) and switch for my Self. Otherwise, you are resorting to them attacking you twice (once so you can initially give them 7WS and one to make the switch).

Yeah, you are a baptist. :D
So? you gotta problem with that?

"Judge Not Lest Thou Feelith thy pain from the 4/10ith to the face.....ith"

John was a baptist.
-
4/10. TO THE FACE.
-
John was a baptist.
And then Jesus came along, and showed him the way. (kidding!)
-
John was a baptist.
Baptizer. The name baptist is incredibly misleading and I wish Christians would start saying Baptizer, as it is more accurate.

Why are people saying baptist like its a bad thing? Whats wrong with Baptists?
-
I'm not saying it like a bad thing.
Baptists are Christian and that is all I care about.
We are all brothers and sisters in Christ. :)

I can respect that answer. I am not a baptist, but I go to a baptist church. The church I attend holds closest to the Christian Ideals I believe in. It also helps that they embraced Redemption whole heartedly and are the main reason there is even Redemption happening in MD. :)

No, they mean the same thing to you. I can't number the times someone has asked me if the Baptist was added because he was patron of the Baptist church, was a Baptist, etc by both Christians and non. Baptizer is the more accurate way to describe what we mean, so we should use it.

Don't take this the wrong way or as negative towards baptists, but how can you say you go to a baptist church without being baptist? By attending the church, you are passively upholding and agreeing with the ideas espoused by the church. I do not understand how you can find such a dichotomy about it.
-
Possibly he could be attending the church because he's in a transitional period, his parents want him to, there's a really good looking female in the youth group...
Or he's just not a member, and sees that as the test of Baptistism.

There does not exist one single church or denomination that espouses all the ideas that I believe to be true. So I attend the closest thing, I follow where God leads me. So far it has been to several differant towns, and now even states.

I am here because the Lord led me to be here. My parents are not saved, so they have no bearing on where I church. I only give that kind of attention to my wife ;). I actually am member of the church. Solely because the requirements for being a member do not contradict my beliefs.

In response to the original post...am I missing something? If someone came against me and played Job Overcomes (if they forced me to use Self) couldn't I simply choose to discard from the evil cards from the battle. All that would be is Self (which isn't even my character). Then I would block using any of a variety of cards used to block after an EC's defeat. (Sog - NJ, Martyr, Burial, Falling Away, Unholy Writ, etc...)
Unless that "OR" means "AND"...??? I thought of this stratagy (using different cards), but never took it seriously because of that reason...
Job Overcomes (Pi)
Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Blue • Ability: 2 / 3 • Class: None • Special Ability: For each evil brigade your opponent has in play, that opponent must discard an evil card from hand OR battle. You may draw a card. • Identifiers: None • Verse: Job 42:10 • Availability: Priests booster packs (Common) *emphasis added*
-
You have to Discard X. X can come from hand or battle.
-
Ah, I see. Thanks!
