DBTI meaning demon behind the idol?  If so, I don't see how that card applies as covenant of salt only effects heroes.

You all seem to have completely missed his point.

All the 1/1 heroes are O.T... so use Covenant of Salt to boost them up to 3/3, so you have instant initiative.
