Hey need some help! LOL I promise it's not that bad.  There are a couple of cards that looks good would like to add them to my deck, but because I do not know how to use them, I hadn't added them.

For example:  3/2 Loyalty of Ruth (white brigade)   Hero gains first strike ability.
I have Ruth, Boaz and Naomi.  I put them out first cause they band together.  But how do I use the Loyalty of Ruth? And what card to I follow up with? Or should have in deck to go with it? Basically not sure how to use a first strike on a lot of the cards that give a first strike ability.

Another Card:  Silver brigade but no strength or toughness. Multitude is the name of the card.  "Multiply the abilities (*/*) on a hero card by the number of Evil Characters in battle."  I would like understand how this card works.  At a total lost on how to use it, when to use it, is it even a good card to have in a deck?  Does it serve a good purpose?

I think I also have Foul Spirit (Orange) not very high in points but it says Negate Heroes or maybe it says Negate a hero.  I'm not sure what to do with this one either.  Negate means to stop.  So it someone puts a band of say John and James, son of Zebedee (purple brigade) out first into battle. My only evil card to use is this one to block. do I even try to block with this card?  Can this little card of Foul Spirit stop them? If so..... do I choose which hero it stops or does the hero's owner decide?

IT's silly little questions like this that I am still learning and debating about.  Any and all explanation would be greatly appreciated!  8)

Loyalty of Ruth: 'First strike" would be useful if both sides of the battle are tied based on numbers. Instead, the side with first strike wins the battle.

Multitude: For example, if your opponent blocks your Legion of Angels (12/12) with five Pharisees (1/3 x 5 = 5/15), you could play Multitude to make Legion 60/60.  This card could be fun to try, but most decks focus on special abilities, so no matter the abilities (*/*), a card like Deluge of Rain (discard all cards in battle) will still win the battle.

Foul Spirit: Negate is roughly stoping and/or undoing a special ability.  If Foul Spirit blocked Gabriel, the player using Gabriel would have to put the enhancement back.  In your example, however, John actually negates ("stops") Foul Spirit's ability first.

Have fun!

And for the record, if someone came at you with a band and wasn't negating your ECs then Foul Spirit would negate the special abilities of all heroes in play (although only the ones in battle are relevant). It is still a decent card to add to an Orange defense to stop the pesky abilities on your opponents' heroes, such as Gabriel as sk used as an example. When someone attacks you with James to John would still be a valid block if you had something to back him up but then again that's the same with any other character so it really depends on the situation for him to be useful.

To learn more about First Strike the online REG is always a useful tool and guide. It can be found under Redemption:Rules:Redemption Exegesis Guide on the Cactus Website if you're not familiar yet. As sk touched on, Multitude is as useful a card as something that will help you win the battle by removing the EC but it can be very nice when playing against a large band that's trying to beat you by the numbers. As far as whether or not to use it in a deck, I personally would not. Silver has multiple more enhancements that can be more useful such as Striking Herod or Protection of Angels among others. Although, if your collection as a newer player is still limited, this isn't a bad card to add to the power of silver.
