This card seems like it has all the potential in the world to be a hinge point in some great combos...
Anybody ever effectively use this card?

I have never but I have seen some Alstads playing with it.

I probably wont find out how they are using it until another Jar of Manna is printed, lol

Depends if the double Stalks combo works.

The Hur combo is always a nice one:
1. Have Naz in territory.
2. Use Stalks of Flax to switch your Hur to your opponent's territory.
3. Block with Complainers, force them to block with Hur.
4. ???
5. Profit.

It helped me win T2-MP at NC Regionals last year. Probably one of the more underrated Artifacts in the game.

That's exactly what I feel like! It just has so much potential I want to pop it into decks randomly just to see what will happen. The downside is that when I don't have a certain combo in mind I always end up cutting it out. I suppose if I try it out I may find that I'm more likely to keep it.

This is okay if you can ever pull it off. I never seemed to be able to do that.

Wouldn't it just be easier to CTB Hur? Or rescue with Hur with Gifts up?

this way you have Hur's +7 in your hand going into your draw phase so that you don't have to discard down to eight, and all the stuff you drew is in your hand, ready to go for the next RA (which you can now make with a character superior to Hur). If you rescue with Hur you have to wait to find out about the things that you draw.

On your turn, Aaron to the newly exchanged Hur with Gifts. On their turn, complain.
