What do you guys like to mix for your Silver/Red Decks? I like the color combo's and wanted to see if any else had some killer strategy to make red useful. :)
-
i find that taking out the silver makes red more useful... :P
but seriously, if i wasn't prejudice towards red.... awesome! without a second color (or with)
-
Sound the alarm and Battle cry + CotH. Also Gabe(to get rid of their enhancements) + Striking Herod(can be used on Coth too) makes 3 cards of silver worth the add.
-
I was thinking like this:
Silver Heroes:
Gabriel(WA)
Michael(AW)
CoTH(Kings)
Attending Angel (TP)
Angel of Warning(TP)
Silver Enhancements:
Striking Herod
Angel's Sword
Protection of Angels
Flaming Sword
Army of the Lord
Balance
Red Heroes:
Centurion at Capernaum
Centurion at Calvary
Asahel
Spy
Jephthah
Red Enhancements:
Centurion's Proclamation
David's Triump
David's Mighty Men
Battle Cry
Freedom
Soldiers Prayer
But this offense seems kinda, blah. any suggestions?

Abishai (Ki) in for Jephthah - Abishai/Asahel + a centurion is tough to beat
TSA in for Attending Angel
edit: Also, work in Warrior's Spear. It's worth the slot big time in my opinion. If a LS is revealed and you have to dc it, use A soldier's prayer to bring it back if it's early in the game.

Silver/Red really doesn't have the same chemistry as say, Silver/Blue, Green, or even Teal. Red can band in Captain and Soldier's Prayer it out, but they both pretty much just target EC's in battle and do nothing fancy. I would try it out and see what you like, then maybe move on to what you want more of but with a different color.
-
So then the question would be, who has the best chemistry with red?
-
Teal.
-
Yeah hands down teal/red is the strongest choice. Red/gold could work somewhat, I think the best would be the new disciples theme with splash red, but other then that I really don't see a brigade mixing well to bring out reds best features. I have always thought red to be used by itself, it's a weird brigade because it has a lot of banding and some very decent battle winners, but still lacks that oomph to make it a top tier brigade. But if you really want to do red either go O.T. WC with teal, or do N.T. disciples with purple. That's about the only competitive mixes I see being... competitive. O.T. teal should focus on abusing Trumpet and Sword, have some banding with negates, and teal should kill off any EC that hurts your band. The disciples one should look just like all the others, some drawing, disciples banding and doing they're thing, some battle winners, just overall a solid deck. I would try both out and see what fits you better.

Yeah, I love Red/Teal myself. A great combo of battle winners to be had there.
Also, you did red/silver.... and never even used The Stars?
