Title: Roman Emperors. What do you think?
Post by: 12tipton3 on December 05, 2009, 07:47:28 PM: Hey guys, I like emperors. but I do not know exactly what to put with them. I need Nero. I have all the capture along with raiders camp. I also have rome. How would you guys play emperors?

Post by: DDiceRC on December 05, 2009, 08:29:52 PM: I play Nero, Augustus, Galba, Otho, and The Terrifying Beast, along with Sabbath Breaker and Lying Spirit. Mostly I shoot for deck discard. You need the Rome site, and absolutely Romans Destroy Jerusalem. Heavy Taxes and Expelling the Jews make an emperor defense quite strong, along with other gray EEs of your choice.

Post by: 12tipton3 on January 14, 2010, 09:27:01 PM: I finally got around to building my Roman Emperors deck about a week ago. It did not work out. Even though I won, the defense barely worked out. I am going back to what I know best. Orange and Crimson. Thanks guys for your help.

Emperor Augustus (mostly for numbers)
Emperor Nero
Emperor Vitellius (usually a d2/3 after Gold Shield)
Entrapping Pharisee
Pharisee x2
Proud Pharisee (d2)
Sabbath Breaker (d3)

Balaam's Disobedience
Begging for Grain
Deluge of Rain
Gold Shield
Heavy Taxes (d2)
Namaan's Chariot and Horses (d2)
Night Raid (replaceable with Chains if you have enough access on offense)
Just a Hireling

Unsuccessful

The biggest problem with this is FbtN, since Balaam's Disobedience is the only CBN enhancement. However, the CBP LS is usually enough to solve this problem. And if not, Unholy Writ, CM, Unknown Nation + Augutstus, etc., can likely take care of it, and Unsuccessful can take care of negaters/interrupters.
