Actually, this thread is not for new cards.

How could this thread not be about new cards? Are we going to cut and paste our old cards, or is Cactus going to print stickers with new abilities that we place over existing cards?  ;)
How did you find out about that?  :)

I wish that any theme or culture had a good way around Zebulun.
Egyptians. PTR negates ignore abilities on heroes.

That's a big reason the Anti-Ignore was made. If you use multiple colors though...

I think it would be cool to make egyptians the culture that focuses on anti ignore.

maybe something like a territory class enhancement that says:

"if used by an egyptian, put a counter on 3 evil characters in pay. Evil characters with a counter on them cannot be ignored"

Egyptians got the whole "we don't get hurt by ignore" because of one card, Miriam. King David, RTC, and TGT, were never even thought about for Egyptians when Throne Room came out. I think it was Eric's idea, who happens to love to play evil gold, to make this card so Miriam (especially the one Clift, and myself were using at the time) would not kill his entire defense. He thought it was unfair for one hero to ignore, and I agree with him, an entire defense. So PTR was made. Kir came out in TXP just as a counter to RTC, but I have yet to see it played and it really does not work well. So everyone saying Egyptians should be anti ignore seem to be mistaken. They just needed a way to block a Miriam. Now that she is no longer played evil gold should get new things, not sites that stop ignore, but new abilities and stronger characters, or a more viable way to deck discard, etc.

RTC/TGT aren't even effected by PTR.

Miriam is still VERY much played... T_T; trust me. I run G cow + ptr to stop her, regardless of my OT offense.

PTR also stops Zebulun and Widow, both of which can hurt Egytians (or even any theme really). Pharaoh's Court stops all those characters plus RTC and the two purple ignores, as does the anti-ignore, but the latter for yourself as well.

IMO, that makes plenty of cards that stop only the less important ignore cards. However, Egyptians still do not have a way to get around Journey to Egypt.

Umm. Why would Egyptians be able to get around Journey to Egypt? That seems to be really against the theme of the card.

because otherwise Egyptians are a worthless theme. add a Jacob, Captain, and a Journey to Egypt to any deck. they need a small way to stop it besides using Herods.

CM, Writ, Charms, DD. That's 4 viable options to stop it that could concievably be in the deck anyway.

Is that JtE's fault or Asher's fault?

Asher isn't as big a problem. JtE stops a whole theme and is CBN.

Don't worry.  By this time next year, Egypt users won't be fearing JtE quite so much.

But JTE kills all gold cept demons/herods (which means 3 nails + JTE = GG for Egyptian defenses). Do you really want a single card to shut down your deck? No one is nuking anything, just asking for help.

I think it would be cool to make egyptians the culture that focuses on anti ignore.
I am of course in favor of more anti-ignore (especially pre-block), therefore, this sounds great.  Other than the fact that I don't want to be forced to play Egyptians of course.

thats why my card can target any characters it only needs to be used by an egyptian
