Opening Of The Books

I saw a combo for my genesis/herod herolite deck that has some potential to be fun.  Use book of (believe it's hosia) to draw three and play next.  Then use book of (believe its jahra (probably should have posted this with the cards in front of me but o well)) to duplicate the first book.  Though the first book is not an interupt, it does let you put cards back on top of your deck at the end of your turn.  So with this combo, yopu can draw six and then reduce your hand to as little as you desire :)

Whatcha think?

I saw a speed deck do this 4 years ago, It's book of Hosai and book of Jashar you're thinking of... bit late to jump on this bandwagon.

Claudia -> ET -> Book of Hozai, Book of Jashar, Reach, Prosperity.

Jonathan Alstad and I did that back to back (early in the game too) minus the book of Jashar at MN State or NC Regionals a couple years ago ;).

I figured it was already known but was wondering it it would be good in a hero-lite deck (especially since some one else has most of the good genesis cards)

Back in the day this was done with drawing out your whole deck. SOG NJing your shuffler and another ls. Then winning the battle, allowing you to place your whole deck on top of your lost souls.
Not quite a ghost...but not quite not.

If I understand you correctly, Ironica, you want to use this to get your hand down to 0 early in the game so that you can use Zebulun more effectively, earlier?  That is the only purpose I can see with what you said.

Given that, I think it would have problems: getting those cards paired up, getting to play it with not much to back it up in a herolite deck, and next turn when you want to use Zebulun, you will have to draw 3 plus the 1 from him.  Also, ignore for your offence will (I think) be significantly less effective with the new cards.

I think there are better alternatives like building a deck that keeps very little cards in hand, i.e. no enhancements.

Actually, I wanted to use it because I have three evil brigades in my deck right now and wanted a nice way to draw a lot of cards to make sure I have enough for defense while not have to worry about if I have storehouse out.

Ok.  In that case, I would recommend adjusting your deck ratios.  If you have enough cards that you can play down (sites, fortresses, artifacts, and most importantly characters) then you wont have to worry about the hand limit.  I have played quite a few games with speed decks that would draw a lot of cards and almost never have a problem with how many cards I have in hand.  Unless I'm using some combo like mentioned above then I generally don't want to put cards back in my deck;  I'd rather use them instead.

There are a lot of different options to help so it would depend on what you are using.  If you want more specifics then list your deck so people can help with that.
