How many people use single-color offenses? I know a lot of people in CA do. Cause I was thinking of putting in 7 sites, and then making them all a different color. This would mean that single-color offenses would only ever have access to one site, and you never get matched against someone who has your exact color. But how many people use more than let's say 2 brigades?

What if you had a site lock with 3 underused brigades: red, gold, and white. Would that be effective so that just in case someone has all red, you they only have access to one or two sites?

How effective does everyone think that this would be?

I have used this strategy before and I feel that it works fairly well. I'm not sure why more people do not try this strategy.

I've personally always thought using more than one color of sites is silly. However, that may not be true today with some of the cool sites like BBH, Hormah and Pergamumm.

That being said, I think the cost outweighs the benefit when using multiple colors. If you draw the wrong color the site does you no good unlike an enhancement/character. You are more likely to have more lost souls than correct-colored sites when using multiple colors. This also defeats the point.

When picking a brigade, don't choose a brigade just because it's underused unless the sites are standing alone. If you are using site-lockout you should make sure to use a color of sites that your defense can fight. For example, using Purple sites with pale green allows you to have Frog Demons to stop people using purple. Using Assyria also helps King Sargon II.

What cost and what benefit? I'm a little confused.  :)

I used to target underused brigades.  Green for example.  But now, who even knows which one that is anymore.

True.  The brigades have been strenghtened so much that There isnt a "safe" brgade to play with just single color sites.  Here in Ohio, we see site decks a fair amount and the most sucessful seem to be decks with sites from multiple brigades.  Since many people (unless they are playing speed) tend to play one or two offenseive brigades, the other sites you have should be good.

Earlier this season I used a site lockout deck that played 6 sites, all of different brigades (I think I was missing white and silver).  I rarely had more than one site that wasn't useful to me against most decks.  Sites like Pergamum and Hormah are nice too because even if your opponent uses that brigade they still serve a purpose.

In contrast, my site decks in years past used one color of site based on an "underused" brigade.  Those decks would occasionally just lose because I'd face a brigade that's the same color as my sites.

I've found the deck that uses multiple colors of sites to work better.  When I'm playing site lock, I never want to have to play traditional defense (aka stop your Heroes).  My entire goal is to only have to attack and destroy your access (sites, artifacts or heroes with a SA).  This style of lockout cannot afford to have to play defense if I happen to face someone using a single brigade that matches all my sites.

I find a mix is more effective. Being able to stop the heroes and site lock with a balance works nicely. Then again I use 30+ card defenses....

I say the only time it's appropriate to use a single color of sites is if your defense has the capability to repeatedly mass-remove that brigade of heroes from play.
