I know about his incredible drawing bands, but in what kind of decks is Samuel most completely utilized? Mainly Red-Purple? Or Judges?

Here's the basic idea of Samuel...

Draw a bunch with:
Angel at the Oak
Samuel (have multiples of David/King David/King Saul)
Armor Bearer
Ishmaiah

Interrupt and CBN win with:
Samuel's Edict
Reach/AoCP
Zeal for the Lord
Bravery of David
Battle Cry/Ahimilek (okay, CBI)

The best way to stop a Samuel deck is to use a NT human defense (Herods seem to work nicely, if you can get them set up in time), and use Herod's Temple to "instead" all their "discard, CBN" battle winners.

I haven't played a Samuel deck yet but I did recently play a judges in which Samuel was used a lot. A fter that game I had a high opinion of judges.

Which Teal Heroes should I have to play Zeal? Just Josh and Phineas?

Abiathar and the 3/3 priest at nob are both I Samuel heroes too.

And they are both Tabernacle heroes who can use Zadok Annoints Solomon, a very underrated card.
