Judges cannanites do very well, since judges have a lot of CBN and cannanites Tower of Thebez negates heroes, and they also have the regardless of protection to discard many heroes.

Samaritans Egyptians is common because on makes opponent draw, other makes them discard so after a few turns if you have survived your opponent is quite helpless. I also like to a kings deck because if you splash angels in all good enhancements are recurable with King Lemuel and Gabriel, and you can splash in teal to help protect your evil kings of Judah with the new solomons temple.

Just a few thoughts.

Heroless is the one deck that no one expects, or defeats

I am seeing this deck very often, and have created a deck that is specific to beating it. It actually is very defensive heavy so it can face most decks also, but the offence is very slow, 15 cards, but it is completely recur able, and very protected, and has a CBN win that is recur able also. Kings/angels/musicians.

I remember there was a deck that could beat it, it required winning 1 ls. turning up lampstand, altar of ahaz, and altar of dagon up and sitting there.

When JSB used that against my Heroless, he beat me 3-2. He got an early Captain rescue, but he didn't use Altar of Ahaz, so we each got to use our big 2.

Heroless (at least my iterations of it) is still competitive, but it has been less and less effective as the years have gone by. Back when AoCP was really the only CBN battle winner available, it was nearly impossible for a balanced-to-offense heavy deck to beat it with a decent draw by the Heroless player. But it's been a long time since that was the case.

I was playing a Zebulun turtle in 2010 or so, ran an Altar of Dagon to protect Zeb. played a heroless, we literally passed the entire game until deck-out, he assumed we were in a mirror, so the look when I flipped up the Altar was hysterical.
