Title: Incurable Ham
Post by: Gabe on July 21, 2016, 05:13:58 PM
It's time to harm your Ham!

Quote from: REG > Glossary > Harm
A card is Harmed (also referred to as Negative Effect) when it is targeted by any card of opposite alignment (a good card targeted by evil, or an evil card targeted by good) or when it is targeted by a neutral card an opponent controls.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing! So every upkeep, with that combo you'd be able to search your deck for an Old Testament evil character?

Every Prep Phase that you choose to activate Incurable it will "harm" your Ham allowing you to pull an Evil Character.

Okay, so this one is WAY easier to pull off obviously, but it's an advanced strategy...

So you use Chief Priests' Offer (http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/Chief_Priests%E2%80%99_Offer_(Di)) on your Sadducees (http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/Sadducees_(G)) to give your opponent a "worthless" Crown of Thorns (http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/Crown_of_Thorns_(Wa)).  They see your little 1/3 EC, and activate Crown to kill it.

Now on your turn, you throw down your Cain (http://landofredemption.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/124-Cain.png) to make them blow up a card!  Totally worth the set-up!

Would King's Pomp accomplish the same thing, as it (continually) negates site access abilities and Ham grants site access (continually)?

No, a negate targets abilities not cards/characters. This is why you can negate a character with a protect ability.
