I was thinking about common TGT decks today and their lack of battle winning enhancements. I was curious about the idea of trying to stretch of t1 game against someone playing TGT. The idea would be dont make any rescues until they have deck out. This makes TGT worthless and all your EE battle winners will be able prevail. Then after crushing their offense you start your offense. I know this is counter intuitive that the idea that speed is king(which it is) but does this seem a viable strategy or defeating the meta version of a TGT deck?
AoCP HIR what else do they play that can consistently win a battle?
Haman's Gallows, Wolves in Sheep's Clothing, Golgotha, and Assyrian Siege Army are all good counters to TGT. If you wanted to stretch the game out and shut down there offense a large Gates of Samaria defense should do the trick. All of the ladies are */6 or lower so you can kill them with omri in battle and then hit the rest in territory.
A Herods or Emperors deck can always hit it with a Romans Destroy Jerusalem, which is always fun.
