Gabe posted the Incurable/Ham combo a few years back, but I don't know if that works anymore, now that Curses are Neutral if played as Artifacts.  Plus the Priests Incurable is a bad card.

Would nicolaitan's teachings on your own ham work? I know it'd get at least one trigger, but would it trigger multiple times, and if  so, when?

Nic’s Teachings would not work on your own Hero because of how “take” works.

Does not appear that this works anymore either:

Quote
Harm  A card is harmed when it is targeted by an ability on a card of opposite alignment (a good card targeted by an ability on an evil card, or an evil card targeted by an ability on a good card) or when it is targeted by an ability on a neutral card an opponent controls. “Negative effect” is sometimes used in place of or in conjunction with harm, but they mean the same thing.  Targeting an ability on a card (such as through prevent, interrupt, and negate) does not target the card, and therefore is not harm or negative effect.

You can still put Nic's Teaching on your own Hero. The only requirements for placing it are a Hero in a territory.

Honestly, the best way to Harm Your Ham is to push him in battle whenever you can, and have sweepers (Wrath of Stan/Dragon's Wrath/Ignorance/etc) as defensive EEs.

That Black TC EE that discards a hero in your territory to Draw cards would be nice.  Hypocrisy triggers Ham.

Ooh, Rehoboam!  And you get to do side battle shenanigans too!  Like...  The Flood...?  ;)  And Rehoboam wouldn't even die from The Flood!  (If you use the right Rehoboam)

goalieking is correct, your own neutral artifacts cannot harm your own characters.

So, is the hero that you put nic's teaching on being actively harmed, or is it a one time effect?

One time, when its initially targeted.

That Silver/Orange TC EE, Testing of Job or something, can target Ham each upkeep if played as an EE...  But you have to get him back out of deck to trigger it again.

Because Flood Survivors have such a difficult time getting people out of deck  ::)

Just saying...  It's not as efficient as an evil card that targets Ham each turn but doesn't remove him from play.

And if Flood Survivors are as good at tutoring their heroes as you say...  Well then, Hobbit, here's the card you are looking for.  Hope you are playing Orange on defense  ;)

You can, but you need a card of matching brigade. Which is hard for some decks to do as consistently.

I was looking for something that could do a lot at once but this would probably help.

Chemosh could decrease him every turn. I can't think of what his numbers are right now though so I'm not sure if that would kill him to fast.

Ham is a 2/3 so only 2 turns... :P

So if my Flood Survivor (let's say Noah) is blocked by Goliath and I present Ham as my new hero, does that trigger Ham's ability?

No, because Goliath doesn't target Ham with the present a new hero. Goliath is targeting Noah with the withdraw. "Opponent may present a new hero" is targeting the player (I think).

Goliath would target Noah with the withdraw and Ham with the present. Very few abilities truly target players - "opponent may [do something]" gives the opponent the option to use the ability, since the default is the player using the card with the ability.
