Does Gates of jerussalem protect the evil kings and queens of judah from being ignored? from, say, TGT?
Gates of Jerusalem: Protect you evil kings and queens of Judah in your territory from opponent's cards. If one blocks, its special ability cannot be negated and you may draw a card.
The Garden Tomb:
Type: Fortress • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: If opponent has a redeemed Lost Soul, then Salome, Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Peter, John, and Mary the mother of James ignore all evil brigades that do not have at least two Characters in play. • Attributes: Empty! • Identifiers: NT, Empty! • Verse: Mark 16:1 • Availability: Rock of Ages (Set 19)

I believe so.

It was debated for a long time whether or not characters that are immune or protected in your territory can still enter battle when they're being ignored. The official decision (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=15831.0) (SirNodby and Schaef) concluded that ignored characters cannot enter battle even when they're immune or protected.

Oh my bad. Cool, thanks Gabe! ;D

TGT Happens pre-block and GoJ happens while blocking. So TGT would work first and you wouldn't come in

I disagree. GoJ's protection happens in the territory, which is pre-battle. I think that this is might be a good way to hurt pre-block ignore, and therefore I think it's awesome :)
I also think that it makes sense that a person who is protected from opponent's cards can't be ignored by them. If a character is in a battle with immunity to the other character then they cannot play an ignore enhancement to win the battle. So this should work the same way.

Actually, if a person were to ignore an immune character, then the ignore would still work, it would just make the battle a stalemate with niether character able to touch the other one. Since this works "the same way," then the ignore ability on TGT still works effectively to ignore the israelites in question.

No it doesn't. An ignore enhancement played on an immune character does NOT ignore. It is effectively reduced to an "immune" enhancement. If you want to say that the TGT hero is "immune" to protected evil characters, then fine. But I maintain that they shouldn't be able to "ignore" them and keep them from entering battle.

You're entitled to your opinion about how immune and protected Evil Characters in territory should interact vs ignore abilities (in fact I agree that it would be good to have another way to get around ignore). However, the powers that be have made a decision and their logic makes sense. It doesn't work the way you'd like it to. If you want to push for having the ruling changed to line up with your perspective you should post on the thread where the ruling was made.

No it doesn't.
Yes, it does. Please go read the thread I linked in my first post with the official ruling on this matter.

I completely agree. They have made a decision previously and it does make sense from one perspective. I just wish that they would take a different perspective :)

I did go read the thread you linked to and Schaef mentioned the same thing there that I brought up in this thread. In battle if an EC is already immune, and the GC plays an ignore, it does NOT win the battle by ignoring. Instead it only acts like an immune by protecting the GC as well. So I repeat that in battle "ignoring" after "immunity" doesn't work the same way that the PTB have decided that it should work outside of battle.
ignore played after immune doesn't win, because the immune character is protected from your guy, so he can't go, "I protect everybody from everything and win the battle", he can only protect himself back.
