G-Cow or CoM?

Here's a real simple question I am looking for opinions on...

If I have a deck whose heroes are almost entirely NT, and I can include either Golden Calf or Confusion of Mind, which should it be and why?

I would say Gold cow for three reasons.
Not easy to get rid of.
O.t. heroes are very frequent.
It can't be d/c'd by anti evil/curse cards.

Maybe COM if you had a PG defense.

As long as you have NT heroes, GCalf is the way to go for sure.

And also, your opp can't get rid of it by sacrificing Harvest Time or anything cheap like that. ::)

Hmm, I might argue for CoM. With the prevalence of Prophets these days and the fact that Moses is widely used in a lot of different decks, I think they're about even. Also, Golden Calf becomes useless when your opponent is playing any NT heroes, whereas CoM will hurt your opponent no matter what heroes they use.

A lot of people I've played often use both, which can be really annoying. To be honest though, I don't think I've actually ever played a NT deck myself.

Being able to make your opponent's The Strong Angel a big dude with no SA is a definite plus for CoM.

Well, I've been quite surprised at how effective The Garden Tomb can (sometimes) be, but when I said NT heroes I was mostly referring to the Silver brigade, which is chock full of them. :)

Luke heroes are sort of starting up as well, but they aren't a huge worry. I agree, though, that both Angels and NT Garden Tomb Females would be harsh against a GCalf user. :-\ It's a gamble, but I'm leaning toward GCalf for a NT deck (a big reason being that I'm just sick of using the same thing again and again).

Why not use both? While it may sometimes be redundant, getting more opportunities to negate all or most of your opponents' Heroes is almost invaluable. Confusion of Mind was definitely huge in my deck from last season.

And there you go, so does the nats '08 winner. :D As long as you're using NT heroes, I say go ahead and throw both of them in.

It's protectable, but it's deadly - a truly formidable defense against a NT and/or fortress-based deck.

I usually go with Gold Cow unless I'm playing Pale Green defense, then I use both.

I hate that card.

Garden Tomb decks are weak. Just stop playing them.

They are...different. I don't think they work very well, but some people pull it off alright.

LOL. The Garden Tomb is the most overpowered card from RoA. There are very few ways to counter a good TGT deck.

I got the Garden Tomb tin in a Booster Draft and was surprised at how effective Elon was as a counterpart.
