Emperor defense - how is it done?

I've looked through my cards, and I only have 5 emperors, which wouldn't be too bad, except that there's only 4-5 enh. that are decent that are actually NT.  I need some advice on what cards to put in.  Thanks!

My only emperors that I have are:
Galba
Otho
Tiberius
Caius Caligula
Augustus (I think I have him, but I can't seem to find him right now)

I also can't really put much money into buying cards.  So, what should I add to the ECs to make them better, and what enh. should I use?  Thanks!

For type 1 I can't really help you...but type 2 roman defense.... ;D ;D ;D
But I guess reduced this is what you include for a roman defense in t1
Emp Augustus
Vitellius
Galba
Otho
Nero
and I throw in Claudius for expelling the jews.
Now you can also use lurking and romans destroy jerusalem.
Now for straight gray enhs
Naaman's Chariots
Gold Shield
Heavy Taxes
Night Raid
Balaam's Disobediance

Well first you put in Romans. And then you put in cards that go with romans (matching brigades is always nice). Then you make an offense and play.  ;D
As a national champion, I support ReyZen deck pouches.

Four steps...

1) Go to Redemption NE: Wildcard, and check out last years Nationals winning deck.

2) Build a defense similar to that one.

3) Tweak it until it matches your play style.

4) Unleash it.

Step 2.5 - Add RoA cards.  ;)

And then you don't need the same brigade color if you have Rome in play. Crimson, Gold and pale green are nice colored enhancements to have.

Negates and discard all cards in battle are always fun!

I would recommend against relying too much on Rome (or Ashdod) and putting in tons of off-color enhancements. But then again, I have a tough time playing with even two main colors in an offense or defense, while many people get by with five different colors having just as many cards as each other, so that may just be personal preference.

Well it is always nice when you draw either Rome or the Emerpor that draws rome out.  I included the Crimson and Pale Green Emerpors in my deck so I have enhaments to use on them in case I don't have rome drawn yet.

There is also the gray emerpor that you just need a NT enhanment to discard, to discard all cards in battle.
