Title: Big Things
Post by: Carl deuty on February 04, 2011, 02:01:45 PM
Here is what I am asking? Besides AOCP, what good enhancements cause the most ruckus? It doesn't have to be cbn, cause I'll just throw in Faith in Our High Priest, (thanks to Cpt.) or Sabbath and make them that way. I ask because I think CBN banding chains ,that are either BBTN bc of the evil characters or their enhancements, are gonna be pretty commmon. Saying this, I want to make their CBNB explode and then laugh very heartily. Thanks and Go Packers!!

COMBO COMBO COMBO COMBO CONGO doesn't work anymore, however, one can still be immune to their own alignment.

Samson's Sacrifice does massive damage, As does holy unto the Lord

The combo still works, the deck does not. You can no longer win in one turn.

Holy Unto the Lord is my favorite, as you can do it preblock with Hidden Treasures and a dual, and it's shuffle, which has little protection, and it's cannot be interrupted, which is always a plus. And there's always the placer priests for recursion and more preblock abuse.

and it's shuffle, which has little protection

Nazateth stops prophets/shuffle dead in there tracks.

That's one of four cards that protects from shuffle in a territory (House of Rimmon, Gates of Jerusalem and Color-Guard are the others). There are at least twice that number that protects from discard in the territory (CP, HPPalace, Headquarters, Assyrian Camp, Color-Guard, House of Rimmon, Pharaoh's Throne Room, Gates of Jerusalem...I'm sure I'm missing some).

GoJ protects from opponent's cards, so that includes shuffle.

Samson's Sacrifice does massive damage,

My favorite way to deal with a big banding chain is as follows: You attack with a Judge. They block with a banding chain. Use Ambush the City. Now, since many/most of their blockers are tied up in the set-aside battle, attack with someone else, and dispatch them in your preferred way (Ehud and his dagger against a King is one of my faves in a Judges deck). Then the set-aside battle comes back as a battle challenge. Use Samson's Sacrifice, and you lose your judge, but the banding chain is gone and you still get a rescue.

Other ways are Trumpet Blast, and various nasty things you can do from a side battle, in addition to the previously mentioned cards.

Trumpet and Sword is pretty good too.
