Placer Smackdown

Gather Elishanana (or the other one), and have TToD in play. Attack with him, placing Joaida's Strength on the other Teal placer, then band to him. Use him to place Obedience of Noah on an O.T. Blue Hero, then bring in Agur, placing Jubilee on the same Hero that has Obedience, then Lemuel to get a Testing Solomon's Wisdom, anyone else with a havoc-wreaking SA, then the Blue Hero to get back whatever you used with Lemuel, then choose a guy in a Brigade your opponent doesn't have, then play TSW with TToD (after drawing, of course). It's a 12-card combo, but is unstoppable once it gets going except for a very few cards. However, if you use Gates, all you need is Elishanana, other placer guy, TToD, BotL, a Blue Hero, Lemuel, Hezekiah, and Female Royalty (along with a Blue Enhancement of your choice). Then you can cook your deck until you get JStrength, OoN, Jubilee, and TSW in your Discard Pile. Of these, all can be tutored with I Am Creator except 2; one of which can be tutored by Zaccheus (along with Gates) and the other of which can be tutored by Eli The Priest (who both happen to belong to brigades you're already using). The other advantage to this is that if you cook your deck all the way, you'll redraw your TSW fodder every turn. Another thing that makes this quick is that if you have TToD, Gates, Brass Serpent or I Am Healing, and BotL (and a Blue Enhancement in hand), you can cook your whole deck, Heal your Heroes back, and have the combo running. You then also have a full Orange Defense to stall with the 5-8ish turns you need to win.

If anyone can refine the concept or adapt it for T1, be my guest.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

It's a very nice combo for sure, but the very fact that it's so many cards makes it way less useful. It also actually has very wany ways it could be stopped: CoM/GCow, any Artifact discarder, even a simple CM. All place combos are fun, though.

I guess since this is all being discussed now, I can reveal some of my placer combos... even though I didn't quite want Elishana + Gathering to be revealed yet (dispite it being around for well over a year now. XD)

There are so many cleaner and easier Placer combos...

Probably the simplest and most effective is simply placing either RTC or Obed of Noah on Jacob and banding him to Angel at Shur, so CM cant kill off the ignore.

Another one that may become illegal if place enhs ARE ruled to take place after hero abilities.... You could place Moses and Elders on Maharai, band him to claudia and then ET, and then play the enhancement you recured. Infinate AoCP recurring? Yes please. However, its a large combo, and as said, it may become illegal.

While all of those are cleaner and easier, neither of them are unstoppable. The best small combo is Agur to Ehud @ SaS -> FbtN EC (preferably KoT). But the idea of this is more of a guaranteed, deck cooked T2 combo. With Angel at the Tomb you get SoG right away, so barring Doms played by opponent (or an errant UW, Magic Charms or HHI you can't deal with) you win a RA every turn after the combo is used and there's nothing your opponent can do about it barring offensive pre-block side-battles. In the same deck, you also cook a TSA and whatever other powerful Hero you need.

Actually, a cooking T2 deck would be insane. As soon as you get 4 specific cards and 1 generic card, you can cook the rest of your deck. Yeah, your defense would be vulnerable to pre-block AoCP or ACiB, but at the same time you'd have a totally unstoppable offense, which can be highly effective even before you get the combo set up (via TSA's, regular Jacob abuse, and regular Lemuel+TToD abuse). This could even be mitigated by a Tartaros loop with KotW holding reserves.

Yeah, I saw that combo in the other thread.

Still, as said, i've been using Gathering + Elishana for one to two years now... so much fun can be had with that simple base combo.

Yeah Lambo and I have been fooling with it for a while. From a super ignore deck, so simple aocp recur abuse.
Not quite a ghost...but not quite not.

could someone pm me a decklist to work with?
gathering elishama with orange?
using gates to set it off and healing cards?

no good gold please.
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

TSW?

gathering elishama with orange? the orange is for the CTB from OoN.
using gates to set it off and healing cards?  Gates is to recur the character you kill, that way you always have an ec.

no good gold please. why not?
epic. I love this strategy.
