I know Philistines & Sadducees have good recursion, are there really any other options besides that?
-
Any N.T. Generic can be easily recurred. This is especially useful for Phars, Sads, and Heretics. Other than that there's some barebones recursion for Demons, and then that's it.

thank you Minister P

thank you Minister P
In case you were wondering how the NT generics can be recurred, it is with Marketplace, the new purple Site.

That would be part of the barebones Demon recursion.

in the "barebones Demon recursion" category.

And Gates + Wandering Spirit etc...
Just watch out for wash basin ;)

Thank you all sooo much for your input. Some never even crossed my mind (high places and satan released).

This thread has given me a (difficult) solution to a problem I was having with my Golgotha combo...awesome.

Don't mention it, or it'll get banned!

Well, they seriously hurt it with the errata. I can still do it, it's just more difficult.

DO I GET NAME ON NAME BONUS IF I PLAY WTTF ON SWS?

Just for you, sure. :)

What card? Which ruling?

Golgotha only being able to have one enhancement on it at a time.

Orange recurs. Heretics heal. Saduccees/Pharisees recur. Satan released with High Places is good and all, but you have to include black EC's and High Places along with demons, good but not great. Philistines recur, that's three black cards now. You can always recur Torment or Wolves' in Sheep's Clothing, or any evil healing card with Providing Angel. Marketplace is a pretty good one. Worse Then the First is eh. I don't think evil gold, brown, or pale green have anything for recursion, just ways to protect your characters really.

I read the ruling, were people using it to recur evil enhancements?
-
People still are. Golgotha is to be use for combos only. The only difference is now we can only recur one EE at a time.

I just checked the Reg, it says that the card returns to its previous location at the end of turn. Can an evil enhancement be recurred for use - or its ONLY to be used on Golgotha, which is what I believe what the card was intended for anyways. You said people were using it for multiple recurring, but how? Can it return the evil card to your hand? I don't understand.
-
The would use a card (the name escapes me) that shuffles a site and its contents into owners deck.

if you remember, please post

DoU, Abraham's Descendant, Nathan banded in or used in a side-battle, Threatened Lives, ANB, and probably other cards can be used with Golgotha to get EE's and Curses back.
-
It still can be done, just not in the same amounts.
-
It doesn't have to say "and its contents" since placed cards follow the host. DoU, Abraham's Descendant, Nathan banded in or used in a side-battle, Threatened Lives, ANB, and probably other cards can be used with Golgotha to get EE's and Curses back.
can you give me an example?

you mean like with Nathan shuffling away a 1/2 used curse? what about with Golgotha, how would you get that enhancement if it's placed on Golgotha and then returned to the location it came from at end of turn?
-
It's not.
-
RA with Nathan in territory to begin battle phase. Search discard pile for EE or Curse, and place it on Golgatha. Band in Nathan (or side battle) to activate his SA, shuffling the card placed on Golgatha.

this makes more sense to me.

thank you one again ;D

It's the same with any of the other examples I listed.

No problem. Sometimes these things just need to be explained out.

You said rescue with Nathan and then later said band him in. What do you mean? Could someone argue that Nathan's ability activates before you could use Golgotha's ability?

RA, whilst Nathan in your territory, to begin battle phase. Search discard pile for EE or Curse, and place it on Golgatha. Band in Nathan (or side battle) to activate his SA, shuffling the card placed on Golgatha.

Here's a question, fortresses play to your territory unless stated otherwise; if you have Tartaros in play with some demons in there and you block with Elymas (apostles) - can you discard one of your demons in Tartaros to use to Elymas' ability to discard a hero in your opponents' territories and return that demon to Tartaros because of it's special ability?

It does, as the battle phase starts with his entering, and Golgatha doesn't interrupt.

Gotta read carefully when prepositions are involved. Actually, considering the third sentence, that shouldn't have been misread.

No, for two reasons. First, Tartaros has been errata'd to go to set-aside. Second, I believe it's an instead ability even though it doesn't have instead wording, and the new ruling on insteading costs means you don't get the benefit.

+1 for using whilst.

Polarius is correct on all counts.
