Title: anti-Benedictus
Post by: Cpt.Jaeger on February 02, 2011, 05:48:54 PM
I'm looking for ways to counter benedictus....

in a white strategy it's played outside of battle, then discarded. Then it is immediately recovered to hand by Consider the Lilies. This repeats until all of the consider the lilies are in the discard pile. Other than Unsuccessful, is there another counter?

ah, perfect, kinda wished Nazzy did the trick, but as long as they already have benedictus in hand, they can start the cycle

Hezzy's Signet Ring, Forgotten History, or Burning up the Chaff could help.

no, it's played, discarded, and returned to hand before the battle even takes place

A Decree/Ring combo should solve any Benedictus problems...I assume this is for T2 since you refer to multiples CtL so it's definitely worth having 2x each in your deck--especially since they both have abilities besides what you mainly want them for.
