On another note,didn't they have a strike back in '83 or '88. Seems like the season was only 8 or 9 games. Maybe then the Cowboys could get in the Super Bowl or the Lions would win it
Interesting factoid: Saints headcoach Sean Payton was a replacement QB for the Bears during the strike in 1987. His brief career ended with a loss to the Saints in the final replacement game.
because it is millionaires and billionaires crying about money. I understand that there are real issues involved like a salary cap for rookies and revenue sharing for tv contracts, but in reality, it is ridiculous. The players have little if anything in common with the "average fan" and the owners have even less. I have no sympaty for either side
did you all see where the player's association is trying to get the top draft picks to boycott the draft and not show up? "Umm... sure, even though I will not officially be associated with the players union, I will forefit my opportunity of a lifetime just so we show the owners who is boss." I think that it is ridiculous of the players to ask them.
