I used to watch NASCAR all the time, but I have not watched it in years. I followed Earnhardt, Sr. and Mark Martin, so after them there were no racers that I wanted to latch on to. Then they created all those cookie-cutter 1.5 mile tracks across the country that are kind of boring to watch. Then restrictor plates made the super speedways less interesting until the final laps. I miss the variety of the old tracks that were unique in their own way, especially since they were smaller tracks with more bumping and biting on every lap. I grew up watching racing on quarter-mile dirt tracks in New England, so the modern iteration of NASCAR is not as interesting to me.
